I had a feeling they might do this. He's getting the TO treatment where they want to punish him and hold him off a year for Spygate and for the media not liking him. He'll get in and they know that for a fact. But this is their last chance to really snub him and say "okay you are the greatest, but you will never get the "first ballot" distinction on your resume.

I'm also sure Borges probably stood up and argued against him being in the HOF when he presented his case.
 
So murdering people gets overlooked for one first-ballot Hall of Famer, but being grumpy and winning too much is not.

Got it.

I have a feeling (or at least hoping) that Polian will be exposed for his witch hunt and refusal to believe in the Ideal Gas Law.

I doubt they gave single flying f about that documentary. They've been holding Kraft off for awhile now because of things like that documentary and him coming off as desperate. This is them wanting to get their one last pound of flesh and while they still had a chance before he eventually gets in and they become irrelevant and impotent in regards to him.

As flawed as he is Belichick is without question a first ballot HOF coach. Any voter who didn't vote for him should lose their vote on the HOF Committee. Allowing personal animus to block the ascension of a deserving coach or player to the Hall should cost them their vote,

It's hurts the HoF more than it does BB. The Halls of Medicore ( All sports are now, look who MLB just elected into theirs).

Someone should start a HoF that includes legendary players only. Players who had posters, players who were top of their profession for a long, long time. Never should a player that a large majority say "good player, but..." get into the HoF. Might only have 10 people in it, but it would be the true Hall of Fame.

There's definite biases. We know for a fact if you are beloved player who doesn't fit the criteria entirely they will bend over backwards to honor you, if you are disliked they will look for reasons to overlook you.

It's also super low stakes tbh. They get to piss him off and take away the first ballot distinction, but he'll eventually get in and people will move on because they can pass it off as "he's in so shut up".

Though it would be tremendous if Bill used his HOF speech to **** all over them as one final screw you.
 
Can't say I'm shocked by this, there's so much hate and jealousy out there for us. Just goes to show organizations like the HoF are a joke.
