Maye has double the amount of playoff wins that Nix.

You sad old man

Old men are inherently sad. But they also are inherently wise

Don’t believe his hand size has anything to do with a DL with extra long arms swatting at a ball held in throwing position or punching during a run play. Total BS

plus IIRC they are only like a 1/8 or 1/4 inch smaller than Brady or other greats.

This goes in same silly argument pile w the Campbell arm length.
I was noticing the long arms and remembering the legendary pre-Texans practices back in the day when our defense had paddles to bat down the ball (funny about the long-arm fetish continuing. Guess those guys read Pats fans for defensive philosophy.)

It also reminds me of Daunte Culpepper's travails, the template for the small-handed QB. In the five seasons from 2000-2004 he had 5 or more fumbles per season, but then settled down. (It's in the rushing stats)

There's a lesson in there, in addition to the small-hands-equals-fumbles concern. When Daunte C ran the ball a lot, he fumbled a lot. How hard is that to process -- you run, you pay the price, including fumbles. How hard is it to guess that the fumble effect is greater if you have smaller hands? Is that 4 or 500 yards worth the 5-9 fumbles in a season? That's a situational question. But the point is, small hands alone is a fumble concern. But you can address the concern.

But I don't think that was it last night. We've all seen games in terrible weather where it didn't matter, well, apparently this is the kind of snow that matters, or it mattered last night, whatever -- the dreaded wintry mix, which we'd all prefer not to drive in, compared with a nice dry fluffy powder.

Except INT’s, pass attempts and wins over their first 2 seasons and winning is what it’s all about, pal.
Nix plays behind the #1 pass blocking line and faces less pressure than any QB in the NFL. CJ Stroud has over 100 rating with no pressure.
In 2024 Denver was #1 in Pass Blocking, Patriots #31
Trent Dilfer is better than Dan Marino because he won a Super Bowl?

It's a team game! A QB makes the most difference but pretty ignorant to use wins when EVERY metric overwhelmingly favors the other guy. Also using wins when the Patriots were a dumpster fire last year.

Nix has a negative CPOE. NEGATIVE! Which means an average NFL QB would complete more passes than he has.
EPA per play Maye is 3 times Nix.

I assume you just wanted more replies to your posts because arguing Nix is near Maye is insane. Denver would trade Nix and two #1's for Maye, probably three # 1's.

I look forward to a good game next week, one you have to win seeing as our star QB is out. For Denver, if we win, we get to trade Stidham in the offseason for 2 first round picks. Win win for us.

Okay this might be the silliest bait I've ever seen hahaha oh God, but if the people fall for it...

Computer Chair Defensive Coordinators:

How do you attack Stid this game? A better OL than the Texans, yeah? Do we expect as much aggression as the past two games? Or do we try something else.

I don’t think Maye’s fumbles have anything to do with his hand size. Brady has 9.38 inch hands. Mahomes has 9.25 inch hands. those are actually considered small by NFL QB standards

He's had a lot of mistakes, and missed tackles during the year. But today was the best game of his career.
F*ck the f*ck off.

You passive aggressive moron.

Took a quick All 22 review of Wilson and Campbell.

Wilson had a pretty clean game, 1 stunt he allowed a sack but Moses ended up with nobody and Wilson had 2 guys to block so more a scheme win than on him, otherwise clean game by Wilson.

Campbell was not as bad last week as the commentary suggest, only had 2 bad plays. This week he struggled more. I was blaming one of Mayes fumbles on Campbell but really 2 of them. Maye can't be expected to feel backside pressure that comes with just and arm swiping the ball. I don't think Maye had a ton of room to move up on the first one and on the second he could have a bit but was not a deep drop. The other 2 fumbles are on Maye. Campbell killed back to back drives, 1 to end the half before Hail Mary and also the first drive after half, both times beat around the outside. Both those types of plays I think are correctable by him. Earlier in the game he got beat to inside on a Euro step move, Drake scrambled for first and on a Boutte catch in red zone he got beat on inside, tried a punch and hands got knocked down, but was a quick pass on a slant/incut. Those 4 plays were his bad plays. 2 killed drives though. 2 were irrelevant as play was successful.
-I will say on the 2 strip sacks Josh should have given him a little better help. Those plays are set up to be slower developing and ripe for Anderson to rip around the edge.

I went thru and broke down the drives and why they failed

1-Clean pockets, Ends in TD
2-Bad Tre cut on run, batted ball, Moses beat for sack fumble. (Fumble on Maye). Moses and Tre to blame.
3-Broken Play, Maye fumbles running (Fumble on Maye) Maye to blame
4-After Maye gets 1st on scramble when Campbell beat, Maye inaccurate to Boutte and then Williams. Maye blame
5-Maye sack, long developing play, stunt Wilson stuck with 2 guys-Play call and scheme to blame
6-Diggs TD Drive
7-short run, incomplete to Williams, no WR open, incomplete on 3rd Onwenu beat. Onwenu and good defense
8-Ends with Hail Mary, strip sack around Campbell, Diggs was open around 20 yd line. Campbell Blame
9-Another Campbell strip sack around back side. Campbell Blame
10-Bradbury whiff and causes RB loss. Deep in own end run a swing pass on 3rd long. Bradbury Blame
11-Boutte TD drive. Boutte also got the DPI on 3rd and long on drive.
12-Ran the ball 6 straight times and 9 of 10 starting at own 4. No TD but successful drive. Stalled on safety blitz that Westover never saw as lead blocker leading to loss. Williams incomplete also. Kyle Williams does not have a high success rate, hopefully Hollins is back next week. Westover on missing blitz but really a great drive with no blame
13-Just trying to Run clock out, 4 runs and then the incomplete pass which Drake should just have run and slid to keep the clock moving. Gave them 40 extra seconds and considering they should have had a TD on their last play as guy was wide open behind everyone that poor clock management could have haunted them. Play call, should have just run it and run 40 seconds more, was 2 score game.

Maye 2 early, Campbell 2 in the middle and then miscellaneous blame the other unsuccessful drives.

This is what people mean when they criticize these former players & “analysts” for their inconsistent takes. Yes, anyone can have an opinion. Of course, but just be consistent & accurate when you make certain remarks. That being said, Stidham is solid and we shouldn’t underestimate him with Payton by any means.

Lamar Hunt trophies

Im hoping the schedule talk continues onwards. This team overall has been better the past 2 weeks than during the regular season, just need to protect the football better. Double digit wins against 2 of the better teams we’ve seen. The Patriots won’t say it but i think they are fueled by it all and have crushed this narrative now yet Im sure people are still gonna harp on it with Bo’s injury.

You mean Stidham who hasn't played since 2023? You mean Stidham who was a back up to Cam Newton!!!!!! Your defense overrated and I expect Riley to get mossed all game..
Payton is a very QB specific HC.

It was never going work with Russel Wilson. so Denver drafted a QB tailored to what Payton likes to do. If Stidham was that guy Denver could have traded for him.

They need to disguise. His biggest weakness will be setting protection, reading the defense. You need to make him think it's one defense and be another.
Denver is going to try to make it a really easy on him 1 read and throw type offense so you need to tackle well.
You WILL have to blitz because line is so good I don't think you get pressure. If he can stand in there, he is going to be better than Nix throwing past 5 yards but scrambling and short stuff he'll be less good. IF you can get pressure he will throw multiple picks. Unclear how much pressure you can get against that O Line.

Big Key is Luke Wattenberg is done for the year and was a top center. Backup Forsyth is only adequate and also hurt last game so if he's not a go, or even if he is, Barmore and Williams can have success there.
