CONGRATS PATRIOTS NATION!!! WHAT A RIDE...WHAT A SEASON.

This will be our 16th appearance in the AFC Championship Game (11-4) which is tied with Pittsburgh (8-8) for second most behind only the San Francisco 49ers who have played in 19 (8-11) Conference Title Games. The Broncos are playing in their 11th AFCCG and are 8-2.

In my lifetime as a Patriots fan which dates back to the 1985 season, the Broncos are the franchise who has given us the most problems. John Elway retired with a perfect 11-0 record against us including a Division Playoff win in 1986. I remember that game well. It was the first time I had my heart broken.

Denver did it again in the season finale of the 1988 season. The Patriots were riding a 6 game winning streak and were sitting at 9-6 going into that game. They were in control of their own destiny. Win and they were in. Unfortunately, Elway beat us again.

In 2005, we were competing for our 3rd straight SB title but a road trip to Denver in the Divisional Round didn't go our way. I always felt the officiating in that game was one sided and cost us the game. If we had won, we would have played the Steelers in the AFC Championship Game and we all know what happens when Brady plays the Steelers.

In 2013 and 2015, Manning's Broncos beat us in the AFC Championship Game. If not for those losses, we would have played in six consecutive Super Bowls.

This franchise has struggled more in Denver more than in any other location. Even worse than Miami.

Having said that, this is a new era and a new team who will ultimately chart their own destiny. I can think of no opponent I'd rather beat in the AFC Championship than to knock out the Broncos in Denver.

Feel the magic.....BECOME THE MAGIC!!!

LETS GO PATS!!!

Easily a 7 point swing with a QB of this caliber

Even worse.

I just watched Drake Maye play like absolute TRASH for 4 quarters and you still won because of how bad CJ Stroud is.
Yeah, but only a truly trash team would lose to Houston. Like, how dreadful would a team have to be to actually lose to CJ Stroud? And what if they only scored 19 points? Inconceivable.

Boutte
Chaisson
Jones
Davis
Let's hope that the NFL doesn't put Davis into the protocol.. I could see them doing that to try and screw the pats.

Maybe I'm being too lenient but honestly, for being a rookie and coming off a somewhat major injury, I thought Will Campbell played fairly solid against Will Anderson Jr. You're not gonna face a better player than Anderson except for maybe Myles Garrett. He definitely got beat at times but he didn't get completely dominated. He will learn and grow. And they're not gonna be facing that caliber of player most weeks, that kind of athlete is a rarity.
Too lenient? C'mon. Campbell sucked. You are afraid to tell the truth and have to pretend by saying "Maybe I am being too lenient". LOL. Why do posters have to pretend like this?

Anybody else get nervous when Rhamondre had to sit with the eye injury?

At that point the available RBs consisted of Henderson . . . and the recently released, practice squad elevation D'Ernest Johnson.

I'm not as big on Henderson as some.

He's got breakaway speed but he's not shifty or have the same RB instincts as Rham.

Should only be used as 3rd down back.

Yeah I was gonna say that but forgot lol. I mean everyone can talk up Study all they want but the be real, the Houston defense poses more of a threat than Denver I think right?
One thing I haven't seen anyone mention is the fact that Josh McDaniels was the OC in New England when Stidham was drafted in 2019 and coached him in 2019, 2020 and 2021. Then in 2022 when McDaniels went to Las Vegas, he brought Stidham with him and Stidham even started a few games for him there. So, McDaniels has a very intimate understanding of who Stidham is, what makes him tick, how he thinks, what his weaknesses are. I am sure he can help craft a game plan to jam him up.

Bills path to Super Bowl as #2 seed: Burrow, Lamar, Mahomes

Patriots path to Super Bowl as #2 seed: Herbert, CJ Stroud, and Jarrett Stidham

Congrats on winning the AFC. What a joke.
Choke on a Billdo

So my big thing with this game next week: I saw Nix as about QB 12-15 in the league. Just a little above average.

The Broncos losing him is not the same thing as the Bills losing Josh Allen. Nix is more just a piece of what they do as a whole. Not the primary reason they are where they are.

If Stidham plays his best level, it will probably be comparable to an average game from Nix. That’s how Denver has been winning games all year.

Add that into being in Denver (a place we all love), this will be no cake walk. Better come in playing our best next week.
I watched the replay of the Bills vs Broncos game and I feel you have vastly underrated Bo Nix.

He did not put up an MVP caliber season like Maye but he is clearly a huge reason why the Broncos defeated the Bills. He definitely is a huge factor in their 14 win season and he earned that win in OT for his team.

Now is Stidham a lower caliber player than Nix? Undoubtedly. Claiming that Stidham is not a huge stepdown from Nix is akin to claiming Cassell was not a huge stepdown from Brady.

Of course we still need to play our best to unseat Denver because Mile High is a super tough place to play.

Patriots will need to play their A game to win. But I'm far more optimistic about playing against Stidham at QB than Bo Nix.

Not wanting to get ahead and I think it'll be the Seahawks in the SB, but MVP-Bowl incoming?
If we beat Denver (big if regardless of Stid) the Pats storyline for the SB will write itself no matter who we face.

Seahawks:
Sam "Seeing Ghosts" Darnold and the whole XLIX angle.

Rams: After all the talk for months on Maye vs Stafford we get an MVP race faceoff for the one stake that truly counts. Plus it's round 3 of Pats-Rams in a SB.

Bears: #1 pick vs #3 pick in '24 draft. The two HCs who were the darlings of the hiring cycle. Two massive turnarounds. '85 rematch.

Yeah, but only a truly trash team would lose to Houston. Like, how dreadful would a team have to be to actually lose to CJ Stroud? And what if they only scored 19 points? Inconceivable.
Lmfao I forgot about this. Mr. Cow is *****ing the Pats got to play the awful CJ Stroud and it's not fair, yet the Bills actually LOST to the Texans earlier this year, and Stroud didn't even play - they lost to freaking Davis Mills!!!

Im going to say this again: Maye lead the team on 3 long drives and threw 3 TDs.

Now, we can focus on the other 66% of the game which was bad -- very bad.

But 3 long drives? I need to figure out how to weigh being stellar on 3 drives against covering my eyes for the rest of it.

Jekyll & Hyde

And all week long he was telling us Houston would eat us alive. Drake fumbled the ball but he threw 3 TDs on long drives.

And Drake Maye has officially exceeded the number of career playoff wins held by that “wily” veteran Kirk Cousins - Drake = 2 / Kirk = 1

Might be time to go to the backup. He is a huge liability
So you think journeyman Vederian Lowe would suddenly be capable of neutralize a premier player like Anderson?
