The Tom Brady rumor thread

I don't think it'd be Bill doing a favor, I think it would be TB's new team going the extra mile in their commitment to him (and maybe overpaying by a round in terms of draft pick) in order to secure him a WR he is extremely comfortable with on and off the field.

God I hate this offseason

It’s not happening BB won’t do it plus the team Brady signs with can just sign AB to a vet minimum deal. Yes he’ll get suspended like 8 games but getting a WR1 that cheap will bet them great value in the playoffs, Imagine Brady throwing to AB/Kittle/Samuel.

Brady’s betting odds still remain at 60-65% for a return to the Patriots. You’d think it were o.0001% based on the fake reports.

People will be rightfully upset and emotional.

Fans in other cities will not likely get a player like Brady in their lifetimes. He may be the most liked player, based on popularity and memorabilia sales, of any US fan base in history.

It won’t be a normal thing to see him leave, or retire.
This.. Also it’s rare for a guy to be your top player for two decades regardless of sports. There’s fans who quite literally only watched Pats teams with Tom Brady

It’s called Xanax. Buy some.

Jokes on you because I have some! Actually, it’s for my dog but she doesn’t know how many pills are supposed to be in the bottle.

Perhaps my post was a bit over the top. My apologies. It just bothers me when people feel the need to tear down Stidham (who by all accounts has done nothing but work hard, keep his mouth shut and show promise in practice) in their support of Brady. Plus, I had a tough day at work. Plus, Deus had just sent me another nasty “Your mother is so ugly...” message via DM.

It’s all good. Stidham has said all the right stuff and the jury is still out on him (obviously, he’s young and hasn’t really played yet). He may pan out.

My only issue with what you said was the part about my intelligence. I did use the wrong from of “drag”, but I’m actually highly educated and have a very good job. Forum posts on the Patriots forum aren’t really a great indicator of someone’s intellect or socioeconomic status.

I do appreciate the apology and I apologize for the comment about Xanax.

No, the Xanax comments/comeback was a good one. I deserved that. “Einstein” was unnecessary and I also wanted to clarify that the iPad comment wasn’t supposed to be an economic dig. I am embarrassed that it came across that way.

Finally, if you do pleasure yourself on occasion to pictures of Brady that is nobody’s damn business but your own.

I’m glad someone finally had the balls to say it.

The one with the baby goat is the bottom b!tch of my Brady whack-off material.

Hahahaha well played.

If the report from yesterday or the day before that the Pats are only offering him a one-year deal is true, he gone gone. I realize you're asserting that said report is likely false; I hope you're right.

It may be true, but it may be a starting point in negotiations too. The report is also that they want him to tell them his terms/market value. Seems that their offer is more of a starting point to build from.

If free agency is pushed back, is the additional 6.5M cap hit for Brady also pushed back?

That would be preferable, for sure, if it is indeed only a starting point. Although I'd have to opine that it ain't exactly a great one...Kind of akin to proposing to your girlfriend by prefacing it with, "Well, I was seeing this other ho, but she just kicked me to the street, so I guess you're my only option now..."

So if minicamps and OTAs get cancelled by the NFL (gotta think they will), how does that affect Brady’s willingness to change teams (since he’ll have less time to work with his new teammates)?

You educated dudes. The only smarts I got are a pack of suds, a bottle of Jack and a certificate that lets me operate heavy machinery while listening to YouTube subliminals.

Lets set up a "GoFundMe" account for Tom Brady.

First Domino has fallen: cba approved by players.
That will expedite negotiations between TB/ BB.
Next 2+ days both will have a clear picture of who's offering TB what, as well as fas BB could realistically sign.
I think the 2nd part is important, so Tom will have a clearer picture of what personnel he'll have to work with.
I think that's a big factor in his decision.
