I know it's not worthy of a thread, but I could'nt resist.
I think I got dumber just listening to him.

Absolutely worth of a thread, the guy is a moron

"Is this the Patriots ?" - Shannon Sharpe while the third string is getting run over.

Marshall Faulk isnt much better...

The NFL Network is a great channel. But, they need to be careful not to ruin the potential of the network by bringing in former players with an agenda. The network needs open-minded, unbiased opinions.

If not, the NFL Network could go the way of ESPN. Fox's pregame is the best to watch, and CBS is okay, save for the thoroughbred himself, Shannon Shapre.

I don't know. I thought Sharpe was brilliant compared to Marshall Faulk. Granted that is setting the bar so low it barely gets off the ground.

My biggest complaint is that he blew out the speakers on my television. Why does this guy feel like he needs to yell all the time even when he is having a regular conversation?

He’s trying to emulate Steven A. Smith

I've only muted a game once and that was during the Pats/Ravens Monday night game last year.

Last night I actually just felt pity for the commentators being it was only the pre-season and they couldn't possibly believe anyone was taking their input seriously.

"President, call in the National Guard! Send as many men as you can spare! Because Tampa is killing the Patriots! They need emergency help!"

Yes, an agenda to sully the name of the Patriots.

He was in game mode, calling audibles over the crowd noise......

Ya know, I can deal with Sterling. I know from where he is coming. He treats every team with the same level of contempt. But that moron Faulk is beneath contempt. The man is clearly agenda-driven, that agenda being anything and everything that can besmirch or belittle New England. The man is to the NFL what Keith Olberman is to President Bush. Both are so steeped in their personal bigotry that they cannot see how pitiful they have become.

If the NFL Network wants to be truly taken seriously, as in the front-running TV channel of the league, then it needs to get people like Faulk OUT of the booths, OFF of the sets, and start looking for some reality-based former players and professional journalists and crews. Otherwise, they are no better than the local access channel.

That last hurts me to say, as I truly support NFLN in it's idea and conception, but boy howdy... it needs an infusion of top-list talent.

You do know that that was Shannon Sharpe who said that when Denver pummeled the Pats,Not blood brother jackass Sterling

Now if you really want to hear an announcer with the most unbiased approach to the game and especially regarding the Pats, look no further than Mark Schlereth,as unbiased as they come :banned:

They should just call it MTV-NFL and get it over with.

screw him

A good line never dies. Whats your point?
When Shannon did that I was truly hoping a thunderstorm came quickly into the foxboro area during that game and time and electrocuted that a>shole right there while he was having fun on the sideline phone.

They kept going to Schlereth like he had good scoops ... and he had nothing. He was mark Siragussa last night.
