I heard BB will not take anyone who plays in California, b/c he hates their strict anti-smoking laws there.

It's unpatriotic if you don't smoke. This nation was built on tobacco.

They had to kick him out of the main area for refusing to put out his cigarette actually.

So far it's dropping right for the Patriots, if the top four go as is being reported then they choose one of Dorsey, Ellis, Rivers, or Mayo, as well as possibly Gholston, who I really don't want.

no interactive chat this year?

The Jets are going to select McKelvin? The current rumor floating around is the Jets have McKelvin rated higher on their board than Gholston, and they're likely to take him, if McFadden's off the board.

Edit: The Bucs have informed Mike Jenkins that he'll be their pick at 20th overall, if still available.

I haven't seen your prediction. which way are the Pats going?

Here we go, boys and girls!

Ah . . . Commissioner Clousseau is at the podium.

And it only takes three sentences for the first boos from the JEST fans (for the 'lphins). Stay classy, NY!

And the Rams are on the clock.

Thank you for not making us wait ten minutes for the Dolphins pick, haha.

Welcome to Gillette

FOXBOROUGH -- Welcome to Gillette Stadium, headquarters for the Patriots in today's NFL Draft.

Just to pass along a feel for how things are working here, members of the media are gathered in the press box, the same spot we come for game days. In the back of the press box is a rectangular table with a black speakerphone on it. That is how we will talk to the Patriots' draft picks today.

In terms of media interest, 74 credentials are expected to be issued today. That number could grow. The NFL Network has a television reporter here; ESPN does not.

More to come throughout the day.

With the new format, ESPN goes to commercial seconds after teams make their picks.

Well, the Rams wanted the Ravens first round pick, plus their second, and 4th before they would move the pick. That seems a little steep, so the Rams are likely going to keep the pick.

Chris Long is the pick...I believe.

That was a ridiculous demand, but you can't blame them for asking if they thought the Ravens really covet Ryan.

It will be Long, no doubt.

Definitely like how they just announced #1 right away.

Well, apparently the Rams are giving teams one last chance, since they've got 3:00 left. . . .

Here we go--the Rams pick CHRIS LONG, DE, Virginia.

Scary fact, BTW--the Pats have SEVEN games against the top 6 teams in the draft.

Falcons on the clock. Do they go for Ryan, or a tackle?

I probably would have taken Dorsey if I was St. Louis, but you can't really find fault with the pick being Long. He's gonna be very good
