Why Clady or Albert?

Uh... que?

Kyle Brady really only ever stayed in to block on running plays. Britt saw almost as much work as a blocking tight-end as Brady did in the 2nd half of the year. And no matter how you slice it whoever was kept in to block never did it near enough to be a "tremendous" benefit to either of our tackles in pass-blocking.

And Brady really wasn't that great, which is why he's out. He whiffed on a fair number of blocks, especially in the Super Bowl.

I really wish I'd been wrong about the Graham vs. Brady thing.

Yeah, from what I saw we missed Graham's skills in a few games pass-blocking wise.

But if DaBruinz is talking exclusively about run-blocking, which I didn't really look at, I'll give his comment a pass; maybe Brady was alright, good as Graham. But I would argue that, considering how we ran the offense last year, that evaluation is kind of irrelevent.

I would rate our right side of the line as mediocre at worst, good at best. However, I do agree with those that say it would be worthwhile to use the 7 to upgrade that side. Pats run a short balanced line most of the time, and that puts the RT under almost as much stress as LT, and there is a noticable difference between Kaczur and Light. Add in the big man theory, and what people think of Clady, and it might be worth it.

I don't really like Albert though, seems like a workout riser to me, an Adiran Klemm instead of a Matt Light.

I just watched the entire first drive of the Broncos versus the Raiders. Based solely on the 6 or 7 plays I saw Clady looked pretty good. He won the 1:1 battles and drop players off the line in the running plays.
