Anyone else notice a post count discrepancy?

For some reason, my post count has dropped by about 1500.

Not that I'm really hung up on it, but used to be threatening a starter's job...now I'm on the practice squad.

Those not on the Political Board may have missed it.

NEM had been allowed back there but about a week ago was banned permanently - again. All threads he had posted in were deleted, along with his posts were the posts of others and that's why some post counts went WAY down.

I read somewhere else that some dude was cut from the messageboad and with it any threads he had created. If you posted to any of those they are gone.

Good talkin politics on a football board shouldn't up your stats...that is like jumping on a pile late..you shouldn't get credit for it.

All posts on all board still count - it's just that threads NEM had posted in are now gone. Politics, Pub, Religion, all those boards count - you don't think I have THIS many posts just talking about the Patriots do you ?

So anytime a poster is banned permanently, all threads they've posted in are deleted?

Or was it the nature or topic of these posts?

It sounds silly to delete them all either way and shave off posts from members. I'm a big fan of locking threads that get out of hand vs deleting them.

I don't think the threads have to be deleted. It was just a decision that was made.

Me too. Whenever I look at my post count, it just reminds me I need to get more of a life.

Best advise I could have given you would be to just stay out of an NEM thread altogether.

That was not possible for those of us who've been here a while. It was on the main football forum for years while being temporarily banned half a dozen times, so any thread I posted on where it also spewed forth was deleted and posts sent to oblivion. Mostly threads on how terrible the OC du jure was although there were several other favorite rants, Hobbs sucks, etc.

Good riddance.
