a girl got a VIP treatment for being boo when wearing pats jersey. It's classic.

You are completely over-the-top cynical. The benefit to the team is miniscule, "one-upping the Colts in a lame attempt to make the Patriots organization look like saints" is ridiculous. There isn't a sports team in the country who wouldn't do something like this to honor one of their fans in a similar circumstance. You could have attacked the whole PPK program in the first place, but then you'd be unable to single out Kraft.

Cynical? After seeing Kraft hold a gun to our taxpaying heads and try to leave town? If my response to that screw job is cynical what do you call the screw job?

You call the response to a screw job cynical?

.............edit ps

the best part about the whole thing is now we get to hear colts fans crying to pats fans about how the media blows things out of proportion!

My thoughts exactly

No, but I see no reason to anoint Big Corporate to sainthood either.

It's a good question: How much are we willing to sacrifice to get prices in range of the working people?

If $5000 per game for the average ticket guaranteed a SB would it be worth it? I doubt it. Society collapses before you have a chance to enjoy it. At fifty bucks a pop just to park, I am beginning to wonder how close we are to being in a Financial Twilight Zone. Fifty bucks, and it was thirty five two years ago.

To park!

Its entertainment. Capitalism drives the league which means the higher prices people are willing to pay the higher the prices will go. I guess I just missed where in the Constitution it said that every fan has a right to go to an affordable game.

If you don't like it do what most NE Patriot fans do, watch it on TV for free.

....and now she gets to come back to Indy for a royal treatment at the Indianapolis 500! It won't be long before she is wearing Colts Blue! After high school, she'll probably want to go to college at IU or Purdue and have her whole family move here! :singing:

Its weird that they offered her those free comps considering the fans did nothing wrong isn't it? I know in most cases when nothing happens people get free stuff.

Only this forum could find fault in this. This is great PR and a great story for the kid. I wish people would stop trying to turn everything that happens on this earth into a soliloquy on right and wrong.

What's weird is that this thread has advanced into the 100's with over 3,000 views and it has nothing to do with your AFCCG except for the coin flip.

Last week had a thread just as long on Brady's shoulder injury. We are easily amused.

No matter what's being said in this thread, one thing is for sure, YOU just don't get it. Now with this comment you show jealousy. I feel sorry for people who think like you.

HaHa! Now that's some funny stuff- you may want to see if you can get one of those writer's jobs that are on strike right now- you could be writing for Letterman this time next week...

Nah, now I just want to troll this thread and see how big it gets. It's pretty amazing how easy it is to get you guys all wound up over nothing. Maybe I'll bring it to the top on Sunday and see how many of you I can distract during the game.

since your team won't be playing I guess you might as well think up something to do that day......

KRAFT is the Man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hey T.O., get your popcorn...... and KLEENEX ready! You f'n cry baby!!!!!!! LOL HA HA HA HA! GO PATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lost in all of this debate were a couple of things I found a bit ironic. First, the Colts were playing San Diego, but the fans didn't boo the kid with the uniform of the team they were playing that day - the Chargers. However they did feel it was appropriate to boo the kid with a Patriots uniform. Perhaps the Colts fans assumed they would win and were looking ahead to the next game? Judging from the unfocused and listless play of most of the Colts defense and receivers, maybe many of the Indy coaches and players were looking ahead to next week too.

Second, there is a group of Patriot haters who loudly refuse to consider that other teams also use video with the "but the Patriots were caught" line, but when the only stadium in my memory "were caught" booing a PPK winner then it is suddenly okay because "everybody would have done it". Third, there are some people complaining that Kraft gave the girl and her family tickets? Come on, admit it: if he didn't do something for her you'd probably be complaining about that too.

As best I can tell the only ones complaining that he gave her the tickets are colt fans.
