You're on the right track, PF2. Whomever winds up as the #3 RB will have a lot more factors to show Than what their YPC were.

How are their pass blocking and blitz pick up skills]

How many ST slots can they play.

How well can they catch the ball and run routes

Just on the last factor mentioned, Larison would have the edge.

They are 2 backs that seem to have 2 very different skill sets and BOTH of those skill sets could be needed on game day. I'm of the opinion that we really need 4 RB's, but that is hard to do when you have a designated FB on your roster who us likely to be on the field a 3rd of the snaps. In an ideal world one is picked and the other lands on the PS

Doubs does Bouttes job and the Pats were never going to pay Boutte the same as Doubs. There is a reason why the Pats passed over Boutte and signed Doubs. Maybe we will find out someday.
