I have never lobbied for any of the UDFAs to make the 53.
Williams is on the team, it’s not even a question.
Chism if Boutte is traded is on the team.
It gets interesting with Chism if Boutte isn’t traded.

Chism is an interesting case because he’s WR7 on the depth chart. Barring injuries or trades, he’s not going to see the field much this season as a WR. STs is where he’ll need to earn PT and so far this preseason and last season he’s been a below average/very poor STer. If he doesn’t win the KR job, what use is he really? There’s no need to carry a 7th WR if he can’t play STs.

He won't make it to the PS. Multiple teams will claim Chism.

Josh Allen would have a field day with a receiver like Chism. He could play the Beasley role well.

I don't know about Nick D, but I suspect he would be claimed too, Everyone's so afraid that a JAG at a weak position will be claimed, but teams are going to see the WR situation, and perhaps take a chance. Every team will assume Chism was cut because of a numbers situation, not because he was a Muma or Hudson. Chism is automatically gone, if unprotected.

So we might lose a WR no matter how many we keep, but I wouldn't worry at all about other positions, except Morton.

I don’t think Nick D would be claimed.
Every team has developmental WRs they like, chances of one grabbing DeG are very slim.
I expect DeG to be in our PS, and stay there all year unless injures necessitate a call up.

seeing Gonzo on the field makes all the contract talk before his return irrelevant. He is EXACTLY where he is supposed to be since he is under contract for the next 2 years. The contract will work out eventually since clearly if they were at some impasse he wouldn't be on the field.
