We know the receivers are worthy..I think that is the wrong was to look at it, if you don't have a known quantity at the thin positions, you may need to carry more bodies there so you have more options on who to use.
I have never lobbied for any of the UDFAs to make the 53.The only two "promising" WRs are Williams and Chisim at the moment.....all of the UDFAs are long shots, and everyone else is a know entity.
Sigh……
You know he will cost us more than Gonzo in a couple of years.
Yes. You have. The Patriots have done it before. I pointed this out to you when you made comments about it last year. Yes, it was brief, they have.I have Never seen a Team carry 7 WR's on a Active Roster: 6 might even be a stretch. The expanded Taxi squad gives Teams some flexibility.
Why the hell would he feel good about an offense that was 2nd in the league in scoring & added not only himself but also an All-Pro receiver, young emerging TE, improved OL, a top FB…with a young MVP runner up at QB??…
Strange..
But they need to be worthy of carrying. We know the receivers are worthy..
Fair enough. I understand your perspective. Certainly makes sense..I guess us finally having an excellent WR corp has me (us) selfishly wanting to hoard them all.See I kinda disagree, if you have a starter at a position, but no backup you feel good about, you may need to carry two so-so guys to try and cover that backup spot. You are hedging your bet that one of the two backups can at least play at a NFL level.
It would suck to have to waste a roster spot on an unqualified guy, but it happens all the time.
Great route runner.IF Doubs learns our Offense we're going be a Tough out. I really like his size.
TD machine too.Great route runner.
It gets interesting with Chism if Boutte isn’t traded.

IF Nick DeG is the real deal would losing Chism matter?? Not that I'm advocating it: but it's a risk I would probably take. Chism is not a boundary Receiver he's more Slot: Teams are not going to sell out to acquire them. I love his improvements but it's no mystery Pop Douglas has had a better camp and is a better overall player. Six WR Chism to our PS.No way they cut him.
He's one of the best development players they have on offense.

*Sighs* 7 it is Fam.He won't make it to the PS. Multiple teams will claim Chism.
Josh Allen would have a field day with a receiver like Chism. He could play the Beasley role well.
I don't know about Nick D, but I suspect he would be claimed too, Everyone's so afraid that a JAG at a weak position will be claimed, but teams are going to see the WR situation, and perhaps take a chance. Every team will assume Chism was cut because of a numbers situation, not because he was a Muma or Hudson. Chism is automatically gone, if unprotected.
So we might lose a WR no matter how many we keep, but I wouldn't worry at all about other positions, except Morton.
