We can't get too Greedy in this situation: we would be getting a Fourth for a former Sixth Rounder: good value there. Expecting a Third back is unrealistic. We have bodies in that area to spare plus Taxi squadders. We Need Bodies for other weaker areas which is not WR.

I think a 3rd is unrealistic, said as much.
But I wouldn’t trade him for peanuts so we can keep an extra OL (or whatever other position you choose) that has no upside. We aren’t just looking to keep bodies. If it’s just a body, you can sign a FA if and when the need arises.

Love hearing Haack signed. Doubt we ever see Barington again. And I'm happy about that.
Conley had some good notes last preseason, should at least push Hudson out. Could spell Brown until he's healthy.
I've been down on Britt, but with Muma looking worse of late, Britt may be the best ILB3 we have. Obiazor LB4.
Love hearing Saunders looking promising. I had him as S4 in my early roster predictions.
Prunty and Saunders could be 2 young DB's that emerge in the next 2 years to take over for Davis & Byard long term.

Why the hell would he feel good about an offense that was 2nd in the league in scoring & added not only himself but also an All-Pro receiver, young emerging TE, improved OL, a top FB…with a young MVP runner up at QB??…

Yep. He said we aren’t particularly deep at other positions this year, so there’s a higher likelihood that we’re able to keep an extra receiver on the roster. Time will tell..

I think that is the wrong was to look at it, if you don't have a known quantity at the thin positions, you may need to carry more bodies there so you have more options on who to use.

Exactly what I said yesterday
It’s not just about positions, it’s about players.
It would be great to have a perfectly balanced roster, but that’s not usually realistic.
You don’t cut a promising WR just to keep X number of players at a different position if the upside isn’t there.

The only two "promising" WRs are Williams and Chisim at the moment.....all of the UDFAs are long shots, and everyone else is a know entity.
