RB3 is Who?

Yes we will, but how they practice, how they play is the most reliable indicator, not the number of snaps in a previous year.
The number of snaps played in games when all are available matters a lot. They haven’t changed. A lot of things happen in camp.

I feel they are all jags, but Hassan was the only one making yards when the blocking failed. Lan has shown zero moves and while Jam has had a few moments.
Given the OC, Larison is the best fit. Different OC, different outcome. Hassan was ok/good, can he play LB because they were all bad including Britt.

You realize that Diggs played the slot over half his snaps last year.

Now they pick up two players who play the outside like Boutte.

Cause and effect.

The only thing that hasn't changed is your thought process.

I believe they'll go with Larison as RB3 (good KR option too)
In which case - they should keep Haskins as the next guy up - whether on PS, or somehow roster him.
Haskins looks like Eddie George (w/half the skill) - but can power run, and backup Rham in ways Hendo or Lan can't.
Jam can stick on PS

Rham is pedestrian and has a very difficult time getting to the 2nd level unless the blocking is perfect. He was having another terrible season averaging 36 rushing yards per game at 3.8 yards per carry before week 18 against Miami. He's the closest comp to Eddie Lacy who were big backs playing small. I was really hoping the Pats were going to move on from him this season. This will absolutely be his last season though.

The scary thing is that reports from camp is that he is outplaying Henderson.
Rham is not a "big back". While his body his, his mentality and style is not. He's not a tough inside runner.
(but Haskins is - and is tough in short yardage)
But, I'm officially in the concerned camp regarding Hendo. I'm not sure he has anything other than speed. I don't know if he'll last.

50% of the 55% of the snaps he played, which is less than 30% of the snaps.

Right and Douglas played 25% at slot last year so there's about 55% of the snaps available to him this year.

Meanwhile Boutte played 67%, and now the team has picked up two outside WRs who will play before him.

Have you seen the movie Trading Places.......................?

You're correct, Boutte was replaced with Doubs.

The NEP official website has reference to a Boutte trade. Why would that be there if the Pats are not shopping Boutte?

So you expect Douglas to triple his snap count and play over better receivers because you perceive what “slot” means and think it can only be a small quick young who is best at breaking free in bunch formations but isn’t otherwise very good?
Any WR in the NFL can be the guy aligned second from the boundary.

Well that’s a lie right there.

You have zero credibility.

Go back to selling used cars Mr Haney.

So you expect Douglas to triple his snap count

I expect Douglas snap count to go back to where it was pre Diggs.

In other words Diggs was a better replacement for Douglas role.

Like what is now happening with Boutte and the FA acquisitions.

Oh by the way, and this is the really interesting part. What you said is 100% probable if true.
Note that instead of doing so (because you can’t) you deflected.
So go ahead and show me the article on patriots.com about Boutte requesting a trade. I’ll wait.

You understand that Douglas failed in that role right?
You understand that Diggs was an outside receiver most of his career right?
You understand that Douglas went into the season as one of the top 3 WRs getting 2nd most snaps in week 1 (while Diggs played his customary 56%). Of course Douglas turned 7 targets into 2 catches for -2 yards. Then 2 weeks later ran backward from a first down then only played when there was no one else right?
That guy? That’s who you are expecting to be the man? lol

Failure is the team signing a free agent to a contract to replace you in your FA year.

So I guess both Boutte and Douglas are essentially failures.

With that in mind the one who starts is the one who best fits the role needed that has been part of the offense for decades.

*Ahem* did you see what did Pop did to Cooper DeJean in joint practices?? Turned him every which way and lose. Dejean is a very good young CB FYI. I think Pop finally figured it out.
