RB3 is Who?

He's never gonna outrun a D to the house, but he's a really nice safety net catching the ball.
A 4.46 can out-run a defense. We've seen guys SLOWER than that do it. Julian Edelman on several occasions.

You can bring a RB up from the PS.

They elevated T Jennings and Ernest Johnson three times each last year as the third back.

That's because they'd Lost Gibson for the year and had other injuries to cover. Try having a bit of context.

My vote is for Lan “don’t call me Rex” Larison

Right so rather than replace Gibson with a 3rd backup who would dress, they filled the roster with someone other than a RB for multi-weeks.

That's exactly what I'm saying to do.

What's the difference if an injury caused it?

Larison ran a 4.46?
Didn't know that.
Maybe he could.
Faster than I thought.

You don’t do a last resort plan when it’s not last resort.

We should be more concerned who the primary back is.

I thought Rex Burkhead retired.

What last resort plan? Jennings averaged about 10 snaps a game during that period. We are talking about players who are marginal to the game result.

Really though from what I see the best path for Boutte to remain a Patriot is this one.

We know we disagree. Let's see what happens. It's only a week away.

Aren't you excited?

You need 3 RBs. They had Gibson
Since Jennings had been on the practice squad they activated him to replace Gibson until they fully signed him.
Setting a roster with 2 RBs is insane.

Boutte is one of the 3 starting WRs. They aren’t cutting Boutte to keep inactive players who will never see the field.

I’m very happy with Larison catching the ball, content with him running, but nervous with him picking up the blitz. I recall one bad whiff last night. Did anyone catch any more positive reps?
That's my Major concern with Larison if he isn't good a picking up the Blitz; then He wont be paying.

Rham played very well after correcting his fumble issues last year. I expect Him to.be even better this year he's a dual threat. Rham's receiving abilities is very Underrated here.

Boutte WAS one of our 3 starting WR's in 2025. Since Doubs was signed and paid big money to replace him, Boutte is no longer one of the 3 starters.

I expect us to have 5 WR's, excluding Boutte, who are all active for every game. I think that there was only one game last year where only 4 were active. I would expect the PS to include 2-3 WR's who would be available to be elevated or be signed to the roster in case of an injury.

Yes, I understand that Vrabel might choose to have the 6th inactive WR on the 53 instead of on the PS.

No, it just is.

So Douglas runs consistently with the 1's, and Boutte catches half his passes from DeVito because they like practicing what's not going to happen.

Doubs was signed to play. That leave Brown, Doubs and Boutte as the too 3.
Who in the world do you think passed Boutte from last years team?

Douglas played 14 snaps a game last year.
We will see when they play games.

Rham is pedestrian and has a very difficult time getting to the 2nd level unless the blocking is perfect. He was having another terrible season averaging 36 rushing yards per game at 3.8 yards per carry before week 18 against Miami. He's the closest comp to Eddie Lacy who were big backs playing small. I was really hoping the Pats were going to take the hit and move on from him this season. This will absolutely be his last season though.

The scary thing is that reports from camp are that he is outplaying Henderson.

Yes we will, but how they practice, how they play is the most reliable indicator, not the number of snaps in a previous year.
