I think that you know the answer. We have to keep Williams and Chism somehow. If not for this year, then next.
sighWatching Williams makes me wonder what we could get if we traded him, not Boutte. A 2027 3rd rounder?
Here we go round the mulberry again…I think that Chism and Williams have done enough to show that they have a future in New England.
I didn't agree with Chism on the roster last year as the 6th WR, but this year I think another team could poach him.
If we want him for the future, Chism is just the kind of developmental player to have on the 53.

Williams has shown a few flashes this year. Problem is that with so many WRs it’s hard for any of them to get a lot of focus to show their growth.Chism is much more consistent than K. Williams.
Wiliams hasn’t shown any ability as a WR except his release on a go ball but the guy can’t run a route to save his life.
It’s Tyquan all over again sort of. Speed is blinding people.Williams has shown a few flashes this year. Problem is that with so many WRs it’s hard for any of them to get a lot of focus to show their growth.
I don't know how you can say this. Boutte didn't match Kyle Williams' number of NFL catches until week 8 of his second season. He didn't match Kyle Williams' number of TDs until the last game of his second season. If people can be patient with Boutte, why can't they be patient with Williams? The original plan IMO was to draft Williams and hope that he was gonna be good enough to replace Boutte this year. But he clearly isn’t.
