He was signed as a #2.
He's being paid like a #2.
Assuming health, he will be productive as a #2.

I never understood why, last year, Henderson was invariably running to the left behind the two rookies but Rham was running to the right, behind the two veterans, more. It stood out to me time and time again.

Based on the data on Next Gen Stats, I don't know how true that is outside of the two early losses [Henderson mostly running left]. A lot of his games seem fairly split between left and right, with way too much up the middle.

We will more outside now that we have a much better pulling guard as our LG.

I think Carlton Davis is on the Morgan Moses program. Even the slightest bump or bruise and he should sit. He is old enough where he doesn’t have to learn anything, he just has to get in shape for the season.

I also think back to the rookie seasons of Asante Samuel and Eugene Wilson. The team was looking for a nickel CB and also some free safety help. Ty Law and Tyrone Pool were out at the start of camp so both rookies got a ton of run at starting CB. The 2026 Pats should consider doing this, sit the big three and play the backups. Keep the best of the best.

If only we had Wilson- and Samuel-caliber backups in the building now...

Was Wilson not given pull-blocking assignments last year? Should've been already in the repertoire for somebody as athletically gifted as he is... Didn't notice too many of them from Onemenu either, which would make more sense.

When I say left, I mean to the left of center. It was just something I noticed last year, whether it's emprically true, I can't say.

If only we had Wilson- and Samuel-caliber backups in the building now...

Samuel annd Wilson ended up starting at nickel CB and Free Safety. I’d say the CB room and entire backfield is better in 2026 than 2003.

Vildor and whoever emerges among the 4 rookie CB’s in camp will end up being really good 4th and 5th guys. All 5 guys are really athletic.

I just hope the coaches get over this Charles Woods fascination, he’s not good. He’s not likely to ever become good. See what the rookies have.

I loved the signing.
Every time I watched GB play he always stood out, made big plays in key moments.
Some people here bashed it, saying he isn't a #1.....yada yada.
That was never the plan, and he isn't even close to earning #1 money.
He's going to have a good year.
