Boutte available for trade?

********, Kraft said he wanted it to change, and later said it never did change. As I said before you are a liar, and that's proven by your denial that Belichick was given full control over football operations. You are a petulant child who can't handle any criticism of Belichick, eleven when those giving it acknowledge him as the GOAT. Adios *******, I'm don't talking football with someone who doesn't even accept the most basic facts.
Get over yourself, the bad man is gone… he can’t hurt you or Tom ever again.

I get that too.
but if all are healthy, someone has to go
who returns more in a deal? Hollins? Pop? Boutte? WIlliams?
I think Trading Bouttte depends on how Pop Douglas - Kyle Willimans and Chism have progressed. IF KW gets it: I think he would be a Great compliment along side AJB. That said; I think Boutte is going have a Great Camp and make things very interesting.

So Kraft said personnel changed in 2021… but you don’t think it happened. Sounds legit.

I already said why Kraft said Bill retained complete control afterwards… because it crashed and burned.

Bob produced a documentary suggesting Bill was just a tourist along for the ride during the dynasty and slammed him in the media repeatedly. They were clearly salty.

One more and I am done. You clearly misunderstood what Kraft said. I and others have posted a direct quote from Kraft where he said he never took any personnel power away from Belichick and he always had final say on personnel. Everyone who has reported it including reporters YOU CITED said Belichick had final say and with the Mac Jones pick he decided to go with the the group consensus rather than overrule them.

And in fact, the reports mentioned that he actually Jones as a player, but just rather not draft a QB in the first round. That is probably why he passed on Lamar Jackson when McDaniels advocated for him. He just doesn't like to draft QBs in the first round.

I said I don't trust what either Kraft or Belichick say publicly. But the inside reports back Kraft's side of the story that Belichick maintained full control of personnel, but just agreed with Kraft to allow others provide input in the draft selection. But at any time, Belichick had the right to overrule the consensus. He chose not to with the Mac Jones pick.

It is pretty clear that there will be an odd man out on this roster. I know people say the Pats will carry seven WRs, but I don't think that is going to be the case. Boutte, Pop, or Chism are the most likely candidates. I think Brown, Doubs, and Williams are untouchable. There is a chance it is Hollins, but for some reason I think they view him as a different skill set from the rest and he might stick.

I believed Bob when he said personnel was changing in 2021.

You say you don’t trust what either said… them say you believe Bob much later when he said Bill retained full power. So you clearly have a bias.

Yawn....
All I know, is BB and TFB won 6 Championships.
Nothing else matters to me.
Bashing Bill because he made mistakes, is WAY down the fkn list.

Moving on.

That's all I will say.

I don't focus on whether we can get a 5th or 6th in trade. I focus on keeping the player who will help the patriots most in 2026 and perhaps in the future.

Hollins and Williams are going nowhere. It doesn't matter that they might get more in trade than Boutte or Douglas (if that is even true).

I am not trying to bash Belichick or Kraft (which what the Belichick-stans do). Just correcting the facts. Belichick is the GOAT just like Tom.

thats clearly Boutte
if Brown blows out his knee in August, who do you want taking his snaps? Hollins? Pop? WIlliams?

We've been blessed with quite a few GOATs.

Bill would have traded down, perhaps even into the 2nd.
Many posters and media wanted Lloyd or McDuffie and some wanted Hill. Trading down to take Strange pissed a lot of us off.

As the post said, Mills.

Lots of folks thought that Belichick might trade down to the bottom of the 1st or into the 2nd to overdraft Mills. Mills was drafted in the 3rd and is an OK backup QB.

Given that the QB's are approximately equal, I don't think the compensation for moving diwn would have made all that much difference. We would have been in the playoffs that year and with Josh gone, out of the playoff with a mismanaged QB the next.

Everything I've read, seen & heard indicates that Bill was not going to use his first pick, but rather a later pick, on Mills. Maybe he would've traded down and grabbed Barmore himself in the mid-late 20s...?

Lloyd, McDuffie and Hill were heavily mocked to the Pats. These were the most frequent players debated on here.

I believe those names are from the 2022 draft; Corky was drafted in 2021...

In whichever way, Belichick would have had Barmore, Mills and the extra pick(s) for trading down.
