Patriots Rumor Is Mike’s job security in any danger now? (Vrabel Allegedly Caught Kissing Russini in New Photos 6-Years Ago)

A report indicating the Patriots are potentially in the market for this player, or have expressed or plant to express interest.
You know what damages society even more? The attitude that everything is permissible and no one is allowed to judge any sort of behavior because that’s imposing values on others and you have no right to do that.

It doesn’t take “self appointed religious police” to recognize that having a years-long affair is wrong. The overwhelming majority of society - even the non-religious - would agree with that.

I am not going to apologize for having a code of ethics and for stating that years-long affairs falls outside the realm of good behavior. I am not saying it is unrecoverable or it will impact one’s ability to be a HC, but I am also not going to sit here and applaud the activity.
Yeah, I’m surprised anybody here is acting like this is anything but not ok. I’m not calling for his job. However, I’m not going to act like a five year affair is a mistake. Vrabel did something scummy. Hell, if there is one woman there could be more.

Five+ years is not a mistake.

So you just ignore the actual points and are only intelligent and reply with this vomit? Go back to the Jets Forum you clown. You got nothing.

I have already said in the thread ... none of anybody's business IMO.

However there is one thing that should have been done here:

If it was some random hot chick he was screwing on the side instead of the NY Times's lead NFL reporter, and if he handled by saying "none of your business" instead of "nothing to see here" then back-tracking two days later, you'd be right on target. However...
She is a sports reporter what difference does it make

"Random hot chick" doesn't have her major corporate employer making media statements about the investigation they feel they need to make to protect themselves from the allegation that she trades sex for information.

i doubt very much vrabels giving away any info. more likely she's doing the pillow talking.

Disclaimer: I live a very traditional life with a monogamous marriage since the day I met my wife over 34 years ago.

Not all married people live in monogamous marriages. Some people have open marriages. It is NONE of my business.
And some people think their best course of action is to stay in an unhappy marriage for a slew of reasons.....some eventually realize their own happiness has value and find a way out.....regardless, i'd rather let people live their own lives, being intelligent enough to realize we are all stumbling our way through our brief existence, rather than being an XL c@nt about everything

Another problem is the dipshits who make it sound like a 6 year affair is something that could just up and happen to anyone. This is precisely what I meant about everything wrong with society, as demonstrated above. Too many mental defectives who not only can't call a spade a spade, but save their venom for anyone who does.

Complete morons try to pass it off inexcusable behavior with lame lines such as "we are all stumbling our way through our brief existence" as if this is nothing more than a momentary lapse. Fortunately, marital fidelity doesn't really impact one's ability to be a HC and I don't look to professional athletes - or their coaches, managers and owners - for moral guidance.

Thanks for proving my point

Judgmental, sanctimonious c@nts tend to act like judgmental, sanctimonious c@nts, all while claiming moral superiority.....look kids, big ben, parliament

Thank you for taking time out from engaging in the physical act of love with the woman who birthed you to fall so perfectly into the trap I set.

All one has to do is say something so incredibly self evident such as "it is morally wrong to have a 6 year affair" and in today's society, someone will call them a "Judgmental, sanctimonious c@nt".

I hate to burst your (and the rest of the forum's) bubble but it came out that the guy who made the accusations made it all up. The woman in question is a completely innocent executive of the company.

I was just interested in making money. What are you talking about?

The newly found fake morality crap that many of you are vomiting is so ridiculous. Hollywood, TV, Soap Operas, movies, the cult of celebrity, politics, and sports all thrives on filth, adultery, and immorality. I am not saying its right, but its just the truth. The level of criticism of Vrabel is just so hypocritical and self-righteous that it makes me sick. Just leave the man alone and let him get his personal life in order the way he chooses. He doesn't need your fake morality criticism. And that's what it is too. You accept it everywhere else as normal.

Hate to break it to you but they’d have been called a judgmental, sanctimonious c@nt or something in the same vein in any number of eras.

For the life of me, I can't think of a SINGLE-story Rossini "broke" on the Pats last season, so what exactly is she trading? This is just a farce. This whole thing has NOTHING to do with "journalistic integrity" and everything to do with a juicy sex scandal that has led to endless easy content speculating about anything and everything.

That story by the British Rag that has a LONG history of totally making up stories about the Pats contacting Tomlin is particularly frustrating. There was never a single other source that backed up their story, yet "analysts" and pod casters used the story to speculate about Vrabel's future like it was the Gospel Truth. Just as we gossiped about it in this thread giving it far more credence than it deserved.

As far as I'm concerned, this thread needs to be locked and only opened up again IF there is a CREDIBLE story questioning Mike's future with the Pats. As far as Vrabel is concerned, this was a private matter between him and his family. As far as Rossini is concerned it seems pretty clear to me that she was NOT trading sex for stories. She is being scapegoated, plain and simple, because if that were the case she did a pretty bad job of it, since she didn't break any big stories on the Pats in the 2025 season.

Reporters work with information, that's their stock in trade. For every story you read, there are countless threads of info they have. Some end up in future stories, some are too hard to prove or don't merit coverage till more info comes in so they never see the light of day.

For instance, the following story would have no coverage at all if they couldn't connect it to the Page Six story, but once they can, it's in Sports Illustrated.

So, in short, just because she didn't break a story about the Pats didn't mean she didn't get useful info from Vrabel. Regardless, the photos create the appearance of lack of journalistic integrity, and that's why she no longer works for NY Times.

IMO you exaggerate. Yes, most of it is about the sex, but also, NYT's best-paid journalist left her gig largely due to the internal investigation her employer had started related to her "journalistic integrity", presumably because she knew where it'd end up.

I too find many of the "offshoot" stories frustrating, and have made some posts pushing back on at least one of them.

As far as I'm concerned, this thread needs to be locked and only opened up again IF there is a CREDIBLE story questioning Mike's future with the Pats.

Uhm, this thread started because there was a question about if this exact issue was credible or not.

It makes no sense for a discussion forum to not discuss a topic that is credible enough to raise doubts.

The right answer is for you to hit the Ignore button on threads that anger you.

Ian tried censoring threads and found that simply doesn't work.

If both him and her would have initially said something like "this is a private matter" instead of "nothing to see here", or even worse, "These photos show a completely innocent interaction and any suggestion otherwise is laughable”, this story would have died before the Draft.

However...

The main reason this story has "legs" is because Vrabel botched how he handled it initially.
