Mis allocation of resources imo
Drafted Wallace in the 3rd rd who played RT
Pats immediately tried to move him to LT
Something im almost always against. Step up in competition and a position change to boot.
He got injured came back did not play well then hes a guard. Caeden has talent he could have been learning from Moses all last year
He never got a fair shake. I trust the eval of this coaching staff but ida liked to see some looks before pats use a 1st or 2nd on the future RT. Value & all

It would be great if he were an answer to one of the line questions. He wasn’t involved much last year, which doesn’t bode well, but they did at least keep him around. Personally, I don’t think he’ll be on the team next season. Hopefully I’m wrong and he blossoms wonderfully.

He’s gotten 2 years of looks in practice. Coaches don’t need to put a player who doesn’t deserve to be on the field out there so fans who don’t see why he isn’t good enough can see first hand.

Who is Ida?

He got to tryout at different positions. He sucked. Could have/should have been cut but likely going to get another Training Camp. Maybe he was learning from Onwenu all year. Maybe they sharing the KFC Family meals. Who knows. Maybe Ida does.

yet he is still here. the staff must see something?
was a 4 year starter at a big 10 school.
is he a versatile 8th or 9th low cost option for the OL?

What I see they see is a guy they are afraid to put on the field.

Wasn't costing much to give him another shot. Though if he was cut tomorrow, I wouldn't be shocked by the Wolfstain.

I felt like tavai did well for us in bb’s defense, mapu may or may not have. Suprised they both lasted 2025, maybe there were just too many other holes to fill and we are planning to draft a couple lb’s this year.

Edit: put that in the wrong thread but maybe Wallace is the same concept. Almost certain we’ll see an iol drafted , so he may not make it to the 2026 53. But i do agree he should’ve been used at rt from the jump

if true, why is he still here?
He's at the very bottom of the depth chart along with all the other guys they don't want to put on the field unless absolutely necessary.

Caedan Wallace is the Ja'Lynn Polk of Offensive Linemen absolute garbage.

Even after trading back they could have drafted Patrick Paul in the second round and would currently have a stud at left tackle.

Instead they overdrafted Jaylin Polk, then reached for Wallace after media and fans lambasted them for not addressing the tackle position. Thank god Vrabel and Cowden came along.

I am not sure this is a stud OT:

Patrick Paul is an offensive tackle for the Miami Dolphins who earned a 66.2 overall PFF grade in the 2025 season, 45th among 89 qualified offensive tackles. He played 975 offensive snaps on the season.
His PFF pass-blocking grade of 74.4 ranked 28th among 89 qualified offensive tackles. His run-blocking grade of 58.5 ranked 63rd at the position.
He allowed 25 total pressures in pass protection. That total included 4 sacks and 2 hits allowed to opposing pass rushers. He was flagged for 9 penalties over the course of the season.

He couldn't get on the field as a guard. Seems like a bust
He's been snake-bitten with injuries, which is really going to make this camp a make-or-break situation for him. Sort of crazy because he played opposite Fashanu at Penn State and was really good, it's not like he wasn't a talented player. While they might have wanted to transition him to left tackle (and he claimed he was comfortable with that after he was drafted), right tackle seems like where he could have fit. He just hasn't been able to stay healthy.

They still need depth at tackle, so he'll have that going for him if he can at least have a good camp. Noticed on the transaction report that Munford recently visited with Tennessee and remains out there. So if nothing else, Wallace might still be a depth guy, which they do need given that Munford hasn't been brought back and Lowe went to San Francisco.

At least Paul was playing unlike our Overdrafted guy.

the rookie over drafted guy had a better year the the year 2 stud:

Will Campbell is an offensive tackle for the New England Patriots who earned a 72.6 overall PFF grade in the 2025 season, 32nd among 89 qualified offensive tackles. He played 782 offensive snaps on the season.
His PFF pass-blocking grade of 76.1 ranked 23rd among 89 qualified offensive tackles. His run-blocking grade of 67.7 ranked 39th at the position.
He allowed 26 total pressures in pass protection. That total included 5 sacks and 5 hits allowed to opposing pass rushers. He was flagged for 7 penalties over the course of the season.

I was talking about the useless bum Wallace: sticking to the point of the thread.

As soon as they drafted him and that guard and startling shuffling them all around that O-line with Mayo and Van Pelt running that mess I knew they were doomed.

Reset. Get new 3rd and 4th round guards and tackle and this time let them play the position they were playing in college before trying to explore some versatility. College coaches know a thing or two as well.
