Here's the pats report for this year.

Off the top of my head I think treatment of families and all coaching grades are up.

Locker room, training room, and travel all still really bad. Its always insane that university of Oregon has better facilities than pro teams. Even before NIL money

Its not like the Patriots have bottomless pockets. This is all relative. For example ..the dining area...what are they looking for .... waiters to serve them? The only people who eat there are the patriots personnel.

It's all comparative. You have players coming from top tier colleges with great catering or other franchises where they are basically getting 5 star catering and they compare it to that.

Some teams really do spare no expensive

Ownership Grade:
Bottom 6

New England: B- (27th)
Kansas City: C+
Cleveland: C
Cincinnati: D+
Pittsburgh: D-
Arizona: F

Good stuff, thanks for this. Sounds like it was Doug Kyed who got this info.
From the team’s report card: “While the team has consistently ranked among the lowest in the league, players note signs of progress. A new facility is scheduled to open for the 2026 season, which is expected to address the team’s current facility shortcomings, including bottom-5 ratings for the weight room, training room and practice fields.

“The Patriots’ travel remains a significant concern. The team airplane ranks last in the league, with players citing outdated conditions, lack of Wi-Fi and insufficient space, with one player describing the plane as feeling ‘borderline unsafe.’ Players also report ongoing issues with the food program, which receives low scores for quality, variety, and nutritional value due to reliance on offsite-meal preparation.”

The Patriots received higher marks this year for treatment of families and coaching, with players crediting first-year coach Mike Vrabel for establishing a better culture.
Vrabel was praised specifically for his efficiency and willingness to take feedback from players. He also graded top-10 in practice organization and player development.

The NFLPA introduced specific assistant coach ratings for the first time this year. Josh McDaniels received by far the highest marks among his colleagues.

Year-to-year, ownership jumped from a D to a B-, though the Krafts still finished bottom-10 by willingness to invest in the facilities. The Patriots’ team food and dining fell to a D+ from a C, while the strength coaches jumped to an A- from a B after some personnel changes last year. Compared to other GMs, executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf received bottom-10 marks for player development and treatment of players when injured or needing support, though his overall ratings cleared an 8.5 out of 10.

Man just think....we are so far ahead of the curve still having ashtrays! Hell, I bet they even get to constantly do their own version of the 'tush push/feel'! Just think our boys are light years ahead of the league JUST BECAUSE of those ashtrays! I got a feeling that the tools at the NYJFL HQ are real jealous about this and are going to push for them to lose a pick since this gives such a cancerous, I mean good advantage.... /S

AirKraft is too small, plane and simple. only good for Foxborough High

They aren't complaints, they are grades. They are comparing what the Pats offer to other teams that they know about.
Still sounds "whiney" to me, complaining about not used ashtrays is a picayune complaint.....

Think about it....
In 2017, Kraft buys 2 used planes built in the early 1990's.
He retrofits them to suit the team's needs.
His choice for seating...............................a bit curious.

Question: Were plane seat manufacturers in 2017 constructing modern seats..... WITH ASHTRAYS?
Or did Kraft scour the budget bin full of 2-decade old inventory.?

Note: Smoking was totally banned on US flights in the 1990's

Treatment of families is a big improvement I think they had an F grade in this area a couple of years ago

Somewhat related....
I was pleasantly surprised to see Mrs. Kraft finally sit on the lower level of the luxury box near her husband this season.

While the NFLPA can't publish them itself, The Athletic just published the Patriots' grades:

New England Patriots

Treatment of families: B

Home field: D

Travel: F

Food/dining: D+

Nutritionist/dietician: B

Locker room: C-

Training room: C-

Training staff: B

Weight room: A-

Strength coaches: A-

Position coaches: B-

Offensive coordinator: A

Defensive coordinator: B+

Special teams coordinator: B+

Head coach: A

General manager: B+

Ownership: B-

No comments/commentary, but the grades themselves are certainly interesting.

Interesting, the travel and food/dining has not improved at all, from its dismal previous grades.

What is the problem with food and dining? What they get or the condition of the dining area?

That throws the entire ratings project in question.
Players liking the coach and the coach being good at their job are different things. I'd say most people have played for a great coach that got them winning whose guts they hated and most people had a ****ty coach that everyone liked.

This is one of the downfalls of owning your own plane. Most of the teams still do charters which allows them to get the most up to date charter planes for the team.

Kraft owns the team plane. So it gets dated. The cost to reoutfitting a jet is exorbitant. So it is unlikely that Kraft will put the money into reoutfitting the plan. I think only the Cardinals own their own plane.
Then why doesn’t he just sell the thing for whatever he can get, and use charters?

Seems many of these complaints will be addressed with the new facility that I think opens this offseason.

The plane thing…actually surprisingly easy to fix for Kraft.

Massive tax breaks for replacing old equipment with newer.

In fact, it would be a clever way to offset some of the gains they realized selling minority share of the team.

The food thing is weird.

Like, you run a professional sports team…get them nutrition befitting elite athletes FFS.

Maybe the new facility has a badass kitchen now?
