Proud of this team!

Mine will be 26 this week. Of my three kids, she’s the only girl and the only one that cares about football. So we had a blast other than the game itself.

I am proud of the team. They showed resilience during the season and exceeded all expectations x a million. Hopefully they grow from here and forget how to forget to play offense on the biggest stage.

It is a gift and a real joy to be comfortable in the company of your adult children. Our boys have turned out to be men I can honestly respect and appreciate for who they are as adults. That their company is something I am fortunate enough to regularly enjoy is a blessing beyond measure. Even if one of them is an atheist Giants fan (my FIL's payback for stealing the apple of his eye)

He had no protection, no open receivers, and MacDaniels had a terrible game plan. Maye isn't a problem at all, the only QB who could have handled that is Brady, and even he would have struggled with no receivers open and less than 2 seconds to get rid of the ball.
Only thing about Maye that was troubling was his body language. He didn’t come off as confident and I didn’t notice a fire in him. I wish we saw more of him on the sideline hyping up the team. He needs to find that dawg in him

I'm not proud of this team tonight. Far from it. Defense is exempt from that. The offense got fully exposed on the world stage. Maye got exposed as well to an extent. How they/he responds next season will be telling.
He looked shell shocked until the 4th quarter. If he had taken the small intermediate stuff might've stood a chance versus the long bomb int. I liked the fight at the end but the inability to have a really good run game limits then against top teams. They have some puzzle pieces to swap out but we have hope for the future

One of my favorite teams to ever root for. Exceeded all reasonable preseason expectations even with the "weak schedule".

Was awesome to feel some stress before and during games, been awhile to have that much hope and caring about Pats games. We also had 21 games to watch, more than any other team. Awesome season despite ending.

My prediction was right that the team was absolutely not a year away from being competitive, but also that it was a year away from being a true championship contender.

This is the offseason we fill in those gaps.

Worth noting we literally just went from mid September to mid February with only 1 loss in between. The vibes have been great all season.

They don’t call Boston the City of Champions for nothing. We always expect to win and we know our sports.
Personally I am extremely proud of this team. We lost, but this team played hard all year to the final whistle.
Exceeded all my expectations by a mile. This one hurt. But the Pride and Joy has been rekindled.
Where just getting started
This one doesn’t hurt as much as other SB losses to me.

We are so far ahead of schedule and have the right people in charge, and they have proven themselves adept signing FAs and on draft day.

Maye/Vrabel will be a FA magnet.

The way we lost hurts.

Very proud of this team this year, they came back from crappy seasons and put together a very good run...
Did we underestimate Seattle?? Probably so...
But I wonder about Maye's shoulder, in one clip he was talking about taking a shot and his shoulder was numb... it seems weird throughout the playoffs he was off as much as he was.. last night there were several passes that were really crappy and out of character for him...
Will not be surprised if we hear later on that Maye had some sort of procedure on his shoulder... not an excuse, just what could be an explanation to what we saw... .he also seemed hesitant on some of the passes could that have resulted in what looked like "coverage sacks"???
I dunno, but nothing will shatter my pride in what Vrabel did for this franchise and how well he solidified this team into being a contender once again..
Next up the combine, free agency, draft, TC and then it begins again, cannot wait...

The whole team played without passion, except for Gonzalez.

Consecutive 4 wins seasons, this season with a 2nd YR QB, rookies in Campbell, Wilson, Woodson, Henderson all starting and making impacts. Yes the loss is disappointing but we are in far better place as an organization then we have been in years.

If there’s anything you need to be concerned about after this game is that Will Campbell is prob a guard as some have speculated, and that the team might be in the market for a LT again.

Maye finished one vote short of being league MVP, then went through an absolute gauntlet of the NFLs best defenses, two of which were in a snow storm. The fact that you mention we don’t know what we have in him is an absolute joke to be quite honest. But I understand, you’re prob very emotional atm and rightfully so, but still a ridiculous statement.

Oh and lest the forget the fact that he had his shoulder shot up before the game and couldn’t feel it, will prob learn in the next few days just how extensive the damage to it was.
Right now there is not enough proof to suggest he can't be an elite QB. But there is also not enough proof to suggest he will be elite. It's up in the air.

They probably need him to be elite. Getting through the AFC is tough with the QB's in the conference.

Its people like you that make being a Pats fan really suck. A first year coach takes a 4 win team to the SB with a 2nd year QB and all you can do is post crap like this. It turns out that those of us that said it will take a few years to rebuild were wrong, and also right. We are thrilled and had a shot to win. We had the D to do it and didn't have the O. Our kid QB was not ready. Injury or youth? It doesn't matter. Its still a great day to be a Pats fan and its always better than being a Jets fan. The rebuild will continue. We have a bunch if cap space and a new culture that players now want to come here and be a part of. I am proud of my team. I am embarrassed by entitled spoiled brats who have no grip of reality. The other team was better.

To me you guys and a few others seem to be looking for reasons to move on from Drake Maye, rather than reasons to be thankful we have him.

I think you are insane.

He is far from a finished product, and the same can be said for this team.

Even in that state he got us to a Super Bowl.

For ****s sake, try to have some patience and give some time for his growth and development before you write him off.

I know some people get a thrill from being the first to **** on their own player, but to me that too is insane.

I am proud and hurt

Let me lick my wounds

Isn’t that I want to move on from him and I want him to succeed. I think it’s ok to point out some criticisms from last night. The game wasn’t all his fault obviously. I just wish I saw more leadership out of him yesterday is all. He just didn’t look confident during the game

I think that's a pretty sane way to look at things. We're all hurting. Some seem to be quick to lash out. IMO it's best to give some time for some healing and some retrospection. This season was far better than 99 out of 100 predicted. Better to focus on the performances that got us to the Super Bowl rather than the way the last game went.

Yes. You can be proud of the team but very disappointed and concerned with last night's performance on the big stage.
Let's face it, they had a golden opportunity and did not handle it well.
Seattle is a better team for sure..but the coaching and key performances in the SB are not something you can take pride in.

They were crushed and dominated on the offensive side of the ball.
They could not even make a competitive game of it despite a strong D performance.

For all the people who say we were playing with house money...yes BUT it still stings when you lose all your winnings in a single hand and go back to square one.

On the offensive side of the ball we are back at square one. Not something to feel good about,

Fine, but he's a 23 year old guy playing in his first Super Bowl, so maybe cut him some slack?

Do you really want to be the kind of fan that starts floating around the idea that he lacks confidence?

Or be like the other guy who is questioning if he is elite or not at age 23?

What's the point of such suggestions?
