lol this is so stupid.

It makes the hall of fame look ridiculous, how does every other dynasty that lasted 1/4 of the time get 5/6/7/8 guys in and the Patriots can't even get the head coach and owner in, Jerry Jones and Tony Dungy are hall of famers and Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick aren't

It will be very interesting to see who / how many of the senior player candidates got voted in. As a reminder, the senior player candidates, coaches and contributors form one category to be voted on, with the committee members having the possibility of voting for up to 3 of them.

If less than 3 make it in, then Belichick and Kraft got shafted for nobody. If all 3 make it in, then the committee think all of Ken Anderson, Roger Craig and L.C. Greenwood are more deserving than Kraft or Belichick. Regardless of which it will be, it's going to be ridiculous.

ESPN reports Kraft not selected.
And the HoF likely breathes a sign of relief. They would have looked even worse than they already look if Kraft had made it in but not BB.

And I'm also glad that Kraft's pickme, try-hard machinations again failed him yet again. If he ever gets in I hope it's only posthumously.

Not According to any reports I've seen, Matt Miler of Bleacher Report for 1:

According to Miller, the 49ers originally called about back-up quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo at the trade deadline that season, but Belichick offered Brady instead.
Brady’s desire to leave New England started in 2017 after learning that head coach Bill Belichick tried to trade him to San Francisco.

Darren Hartwell interviewed BB in 2020 and BB answers made it sound like he wanted Jimmy over Brady.

"It’s one of those situations where you’re not able to keep all the players, based on the situation that’s set up, which is understandable. I’m glad that it’s worked out for him and San Francisco. I hope it doesn’t work out on Sunday."

Belichick has made similar remarks before, openly hinting that he would have preferred to keep Garoppolo rather than trade him to San Francisco for a second-round pick in October 2017.

Most reports agree Kraft stepped in. Even reports from people close to BB agreed Kraft told him trade Jimmy not Brady.
Man, I'm shaking my head.

So you all think Lynch is a liar.

Have no idea why a guy making things up on Bleacher Report is more believable than Lynch

Sometimes it's impossible to post on this site with the kind of made up nonsense reports posters take as gospel.

Let's discuss the moonlanding next.

Thank you for your considerate responses. Some people believe that Kennedy was killed by the CIA, the Pentagon was hit by a Missile, and we did not land on Mars.
This is my conspiracy theory and I am embracing it with absolutely no proof.

Matt miller of bleacher report says John lynch said something. John lynch says John lynch said something else. You believe Matt miller of bleacher report.
Your opinion isn’t valid hear if that’s where it comes from.

No one close to BB has said he wanted to trade Brady. That’s a lie.

I'm not getting on you for that.

I'm simply asking, "Why do you think Lynch is lying?"

The answer will educate me to understanding the logic.

If reporter quotes a source close to BB and says it was a source close to BB I am glad you know that reporter lied. Amazing talent.

No idea and don't really care which thing is the truth but doesn't pass the logic test.
More than 1 reporter with sources says otherwise. Seems weird for Lynch to say he's not supposed to talk about it and then just says he asked and was laughed off. Why is he not supposed to talk about that? Seems more to the story but really have no idea but to suggest there is no chance BB wanted to keep Young Jimmy G over 40-year-old Brady when BB publicly said he was concerned about Brady's age 3 years earlier.

BB said he drafted Jimmy because Brady was 37, told Brady he drafted Jimmy because of Brady's age, told the media that. His whole plan was to draft Jimmy G to replace Brady when he aged out but somehow people think when it came time to decide on 40-year-old Brady he just was like, nope, I've completely changed my mind now, not even going to think it at all anymore. That seems a little unbelievable considering no QB played well past 40 and Jimmy G was the heir apparent. It's exactly the thing BB would do, trade Brady for multiple 1's, restock roster and have Jimmy G lead the next decade of winning.

FYI, the same reports said BB told 49ers Jimmy G was "off limits" and then BB was asked about Brady instead and said "What did you just ask me?" and blew it off yet he then traded Jimmy G. Was BB going to wait 1 more year and then replace Brady with Jimmy G and Kraft said trade Jimmy G? Probably closer to the truth there

Just reading the tea leaves. Maybe BB was just as sick of Tom as the reverse. Tom was as much of a maniac as Bill. He always traded players early and Tommy was not going to be an exception.

Not that we needed more evidence about bias towards Pats but here's another ridiculous decision. Both BB and Kraft should be no brainer choices
Maybe the Pats should create their own NFL HOF Patriots Chapter.

People like Kraft and BB could be elected and refuse induction into Canton.

The NFL doesn’t deserve to have any dynasty Pats in their HOF.

For all the good that Kraft has done for the Pats, it still sticks in my craw that he did not stand up to the league and defend BB and Brady against the witch hunts.

What did bending over and taking it get you Bob?

exactly - they have and are playing him for a patsy...

Because he's always been about the optics for himself - this is what I don't like about him. I was skeptical during the "Harford move", but I had enough of him after he turtled during "Spygate". Rather than fight it, he pointed the finger at BB so Bob could deflect the blame.

It's quite odd so many posters defend this guy.

Kraft is cheap.
Also he sucks.

"The Dynasty" is why he didn't get in - petty-ass mother****er nakedly campaigning to get into the HoF.
