I’ll say this: by “everyone” I meant media, peers, and players.

Not support staff. I’m sure Bill was nice to the lunch people and janitors…who isn’t?

How do you explain his treatment of Tom? To the point that Tom said “FU and F this place I’m out”.

I mean that sincerely not snarkily.

And you're still wrong. The fact that you can't accept it despite what @Jackson 2 stated shows where the issue lies.

Go ahead and cite SPECIFICS in his treatment of Tom. Not the BS you think you know based on media garbage.

Very true.

But the NFL placed a gag order on the Patriots/Kraft/Belichick, while BSPN came out with new bogus stories on a daily basis, every one attempting to outdo the last story, hitting the peak with Tomase's fabricated column.

Problem is that most sports fans outside of New England heard all those lies, and believed them because they came from 'trusted' sources - the various personalities on BSPN, NFLN, etc.

Ask the average American sports fan about spygate, and they will tell you that the Patriots were caught filming the Rams walk-through and other team's practices.
Another interesting inconsistency with the NFL.

Josh was involved in Spygate, and was subsequently hired as HC by the Denver Broncos. While he was HC the Broncos were accused of filming another team’s walkthrough (SF?)

As a repeat offender shouldn’t the Broncos have been hammered by the NFL worse than the Pats were?

Their only penalty was a $300,000 fine.

Why did the Broncos get off so lightly?

Maybe the NFL and the jealous owners were not concerned about bringing a 5-11 team back to the pack?

Why should he answer questions that are blatantly obvious and, frankly, an insult to the average intelligence of Football fans? Why should he do/say anything to help people who's job it is to downplay the good and hyper-sensitize the bad?

The RAMS BS that you attempted to harp on and DeflateGate are perfect examples of this. People like you forget that BB had decades of experience with the mediots long before he became a head coach with the Browns, let alone the Patriots. the fact that you act like his disdain wasn't merited just shows poorly on you.
He burned so many bridges in the league and media ... that always comes home to roost.

You can hear in his voice the immense disappointment. Make no mistake, BB is second to none in his reverence for the HoF. In that same vein, Tom is second to none in his reverence for BB.
In a way, this disrespect towards Bill is also disrespect towards Tom, because most of Bill's success was done in tandem with him. I have to imagine Brady is taking it personally.

Im not sure it’s a point system I think it’s that they are limited to 3. The highest vote getter gets in as well as anyone else over
40.
Which begs the question who was more deserving than Belichick? They actually decided someone else was more worthy in that group. Maybe more than 1
It might be less of "who is more deserving" and more "who has waited for years and might not get in if I don't push him in this time and who can I not vote for because they are at no risk of not eventually getting in".

It's like the baseball HOF. Only one guy has ever been unanimous because even when there is a no brainer, it becomes about people starting to use their votes to help at risk guys.

For instance, Belichick's far more deserving than Roger Craig. But Craig's been eligible since 1998 and has been waiting and we are going to approach a point where if he doesn't get in soon, people who didn't watch him are going to start becoming voters and he might never get in. Another scenario is that Kraft getting passed over for so many years meant people might have been unwilling to give two slots of the 3 to people from the Patriots. So by passing over him for so long some people who wanted Kraft might have made a decision that he was going to be the Patriots vote for this cycle. Then there's people like Ken Anderson who waited 30 years.

Consider me crushed that upstater1 doubts everything I write. Not sure how I’ll possibly continue on.

And there is that typical arrogance we've all come to expect from you. You think your s**t don't stink. And when you're shown to be wrong, you deflect, back-pedal and avoid.

It was Rams signals he taped. He admitted that. From a place he shouldn’t have.

Then did the same friggin thing years later like a moron.

Provide a link to Belichick admitting to taping the Rams signals..

Just a clarification that I am sure Pats fans know, but the balls were not under inflated, they just had a lowered pressure due to the IGL and cold temps.

The word deflategate is so misleading.

Yeah that was me trying to characterize the way other people talked about it, hence my reference to the IGL.

Deflategate was IGL. Spygate was camera placement. Last I knew YOU CAN TOTALLY FILM THE OTHER TEAM'S DEFENSIVE SIGNALS JUST NOT FROM THE SIDELINES.

Sorry, angry old man in me starting to come out more and more as I age. Not the kind of coming out I'm used to.

What does any of that have to do with his coaching accomplishments? He could go up there and take his shirt off and blow raspberries at the press for every presser for 20 years and it wouldn't make his accomplishments any less deserving of first ballot enshrinement.
There isn't enough appreciation for the decisions coaches must make.

Any organization needs to make decisions that are best for its future.

I would not expect Brady to take the drafting of Garoppolo any different than he took it, as an affront, as a moment of doubt.

But I wouldn't expect a Coach / GM to do anything other than prepare to move on from their QB. When Garoppolo was drafted, Brady was 37, and would be 42 at the end of Garoppolo's rookie contract. Would not expect anything different than showing the owner a study of QBs falling off in their late 30s. For Montana and Favre, their understudies joined the team much much earlier (age 31 for Montana). This is the normal thing for any GM to do.

Both Belichick and Brady behaved properly.

The other problem between them was Guerrero.

Again, I 100% understand that the mindmeld between Brady and Guerrero meant that for Brady, this was the way to optimize his performance. This is why Guerrero was in the locker room for so many years in the first place. But when Guerrero overstepped his bounds and countered the coaches with other players, there was little Belichick could do but ban him (as I understand it, he was given a training room in a small building outside, but I may be wrong).

Does anyone know of any other issues between the two? There may have been some fighting over lack of WRs in 2019 when Edelman was hurt, but it was certainly not for lack of trying as so many WRs were brought in.

I can't recall any other fights.

But I'd say none of this was surprising, normal, or bad behavior by any of them.

You don’t know many Georgia fans, do you?

The Jets filmed from the sidelines. The NFL was fine with it.

The Jets filmed from the sidelines. The NFL was fine with it.

I feel like everyone does, just many of them probably don't care as much about signals. I remember reading it was the kind of thing only BB and a few others might find valuable.

I really think Kraft has something to do with this as a final F You to Bill

I'll be damned if I let another two week Superbowl window be dominated by spy and deflate gate talk.

Don't take the bait.

The media are pinning this on Polian, no doubt loving the irony of an utter scumbag sabotaging BB's legacy.

My guess that the real culprits are Kraft and the Boston media, both of whom I don't doubt relish this outcome and I suspect lobbied for it.
