I’m talking about the playoffs (though the ref season was a cakewalk for NE too).

No one has ever had an easier path through the playoffs than the Patriots. They essentially played middling teams all 3 games, and 2 of those games included teams with HORRENDOUS quarterbacks. They didn’t play a tough team like the Jags. Or the Broncos with a starting QB. Or the Bills.

They were basically handed the Super Bowl appearance despite playing poorly.

As for the regular season, Bills beat them in the last matchup… the first matchup was really their only claim to fame and it was tight.
The Patriots were very shorthanded up front on defense in the last matchup otherwise Cook is shut down like he was in the first game and I don't think the Bills come back from their 21-0 deficit.

No they weren't handed anything. "Handed" = what the refs did for the Chiefs last year. The Chargers and Texans weren't middling teams. (and no Mills is absolutely not better than Stroud as mentioned before) The Broncos are mid sans Nix, but I can't use a bad weather game to size up the Patriots in that one. I mean.. I think the Raiders would have easily handled the Patriots in the 2001 Snow/Tuck Rule game if the weather was good but all that snow and bad weather changed things bigtime. Admittedly I have concerns now about Maye in bad weather but that thankfully should not be a problem in the SB.

It's interesting that so many fans are butthurt about the Patriots catching a break like Nix being out... but they know fully well that they would be too happy to see that same break happen to their team and they wouldn't apologize for it. I bet the overwhelming majority of Bills fans would agree with me.

Imagine going to other team’s forums and whining about how your team should be in the Super Bowl simply because you “have the best QB” and that forum being the Patriots.
Whining about the unfairness of having to face Patrick Mahomes to one of the few fanbases who remember beating Patrick Mahomes.

Also, what seems to be always forgotten is Maye is still young and is only a second year QB. Allen wasn’t elite in year two

Exactly. This post season experience is going to do so much for Maye, even if they don't win it all. They can re-tool this offseason and bring veteran players in who are chasing rings. If/when they make the playoffs next year with a better offensive roster the unknown of tough playoff games won't be a factor anymore

Bills dodged a bullet by avoiding Rivers as a HC. Can't believe that was actually entertained.

I can't imagine having so little self-respect or self-awareness that I, as a fan of a team that has completely underachieved for the last six years, would spend so much time on a message board talking **** about a team that's in the Super Bowl.

I think it's pretty clear that:

A. He's a honey glazed ham that missed the glazing.

B. His life is pretty sad and boring, so this all means a great deal to his ego.

C. His Copium needs daily replenishment.

Joe Brady eh?

So much for a new direction. Offense stays the same, defense will get worse.

No team in NFL history has ever beaten three top 5 defenses in one playoff run. Ever. The Pats did it. But it was a cakewalk, and they were just handed the wins. OK.

"A new voice and a new direction! You know... like the one that's been here for years, and has been calling the offensive plays for years, and has been in the QB's ear the whole time, and has been managing half of the operation the whole time. I'm sure things will be very different now with our new HC who is barely 5 years older than our QB!"

You're like an idiot who pounds his head multiple times against a brick wall because it feels better each time he stops.

It's great they now have a head coach capable of fixing the Prairie Cows' porous defense. Oh, wait ...
Pegula blamed the Keon Coleman pick on McDermott's staff, but then promoted someone from McDermott's staff... How's that work?

"It's not Brandon Beane's fault the pick was bad!!! It was the coaching staff!!! Btw, I'm promoting from within on that staff."

The Patriots won the AFCE and the AFCC. They are the best team in the AFC. Suck it loser.
