What makes one look like they 'don't understand football', is when one parrots the talking heads bog standard takes. They're the same takes every year.I see people clowning on media types for pointing out how weak our schedule has been, it's true. Our regular season schedule was very weak.
We have played 3 really tough defenses in the playoffs, but in reality those 3 teams had severe issues and honestly was not super difficult because of the lack of offense those teams provided.
Our defense had a lot to do with those offenses not performing well, this is true along with the weak schedule. People are acting like its one or the other. Both things are true, the Pats have had a charmed season based on the matchups they have faced. The Pats are also a very good football team. Again both things can be and are true.
Pats fans, when someone points out one thing it does not take away from the other. Please stop getting panties in a twist if someone points out how easy the path to the SB has been. It makes you look like you don't understand football. All my non Patriot friends keep telling me how easy the path has been and I tell them they are right, but it does not take away from how good the team actually is. This team takes advantage of bad football and not all teams are capable of that.
"Pats fans" have been very fortunate to watch extremely high-level football here for the better part of 30 years. We know *exactly* what we're looking at.
After all this time, the talking heads still don't know what they're talking about, and only say the most relatable things to the casual fans.
