If Maye can find it within him self to start looking like his former self, I don't see how they don't win it.

The good news is that he is learning hard lessons while the team is winning. But he needs to have clean games vs even better teams in the next few weeks.

His only legit mistake was the fumble in the run, tbh......I don't recall a single throw that was in harms way

I'd put this up as their 3rd toughest path since 2003 and 2004 seasons.

The AFC in 03 and 04 was so insane the Super Bowl felt like a step back. In 14, 16, and 18 we ran into some crazy teams in the Super Bowl that had incredible seasons that in hindsight turned out to be one offs (aside from Seattle of course). Holding that 2018 Rams offense to 3 points still feels like a dream.

We've won 15 out of the last 16 games, and the one game we lost, we did by 4 points. We can beat any of the remaining teams, the thing that will decide the championship is execution.

The defense has executed almost to perfection. They've only allowed one TD in two games, and the Texans started at the Pats own 27-yard for that one. The worrying thing is that the left side/Drake fumbles were not addressed at all.

Yes, the Chargers and the Texans have great defenses, but there's no excuse for Drake to have 6 fumbles in two games. There was a fumble today that Campbell recovered at our own 3-yard line, and the defense stopped the following possession. There was another fumble, right before the half where again, Campbell recovered the ball at our own 46-yard line. Campbell saved at least 10 points by recovering the ball. The third fumble resulted in the only TD for Houston.

The fact that we've been able to win two games by double digits with so many TO's speaks volumes about how dominant the defense has been.

I can't remember the last time that i felt this comfortable every time the defense is on the field, and this uncomfortable when the offense is. If the left side can't hold, give them help, call shorter routes, make Drake go outside the pocket to his right, but do something about it. All the mistakes from the Chargers game were repeated here as well.

I'm not expecting them to score every possession, but if the drive stalls, secure the ball, punt and make the other team earn it. If the offense plays a clean game, and the defense continues this remarkable run, the sky's the limit for this team. I'm convinced we haven't seen the best of them this year, which should be a scary thought for the other teams.

The Patriots defense has gotten better in each game. If they keep playing his way, there is no reason they can't win it all.

The return of Milton Williams, Spillane and Tonga has been HUGE for this defense. The Pat’s defense was excellent before those guys got hurt. Getting those guys back in time before the AFCCG was huge. Herbert & Stroud struggled big time vs our defense. Think about Williams, if the Pats win again on Sunday, it’ll be back to back SB’s for Williams.

Also, I love that our defense is taking the love for other team’s defenses by media personal. Their saying, hey, we have a good defense too, and they are showing it.

The AFC in 03 and 04 was so insane the Super Bowl felt like a step back. And...I don't see why he can't admit that Maye made mistakes today. It doesn't make him a bad QB. He can play much better though.

They are getting off the field on 3rd down better than a Pats defense has done in a long time. They were not forcing turnovers early this year, but are now. RZ defense is no longer talked about. And Stroud or Herbert won't be saying there is no pass rush

Suddenly they have improved there. And turnovers are coming. I get 2018 vibes from these Patriots. Only difference of course is that offense was better and more experienced.

The Pats forced 5 turnovers.. 4 ints and a Forced fumble.
The Texans forced 4 fumbles and an Int.

Maye has got do to a better Job holding on to the ball...

Maye definitely has to protect the ball better, but the int was a hail mary at the end of the half, can't hold that one against him.

He has.....not been good at all.

I didn't expect him to be today.....I don't think playing next to a rookie guard who doesn't always make the right reads helps, and today he had issues pass blocking when left without help; I suspect his run blocking was solid, as it has been

Rookie against a multi time all pro with a rookie guard next to him is not going to look great in a game like this

Just one more game to get to the SB. I hope they can pull it off , winning in Denver will be huge, getting to the SB in Vrabel's first and with a 23 year old Maye would be fantastic.
Defense is as good as any other defense in the league, no matter what agenda the media pushes.
If Maye can control the fumble issues, this team can win it all !!!!And if we win it all, it will mean that we beat the best defenses and that is no small feat !!!!
On to mile high, it will be a great game !!!

I was right about Hollins. And I didn’t say he was not an NFL receiver I said he shouldn’t be a starting receiver because he struggles to get open and I was correct

Suddenly they have improved there. And turnovers are coming. I get 2018 vibes from these Patriots. Only difference of course is that offense was better and more experienced.

That offense was experienced but showing signs of decline. Remember got 13 vs Rams and did little till end of the game. Got 10 points vs Steelers in a December game. Was a lot of talk Brady was hurt. The KC game was an aberration that year. At a fortuitous time.
