Marcus Jones had a sneaky great game. Gave up one reception on the 3rd drive, but smothered them otherwise. Had Keenen Allen on some plays too, how much size does he give up on him?

The biggest take away from tonight is the Pats can win without relying on Drake Maye to carry them and the defense carried the team for tonight. I think that is huge for the rest of the playoffs.

I am not that worried about the offense. The Chargers have been holding passing offenses to like 150 yards a game. The Pats did over that. And I will chock the turnovers and fumbles to it being Maye’s first playoff game.

The o-line is a concern especially if they have to face the Texans and Broncos, but I have faith that McDaniels will come up with a fix to minimize the problem.

I am glad the Pats are seeing the Texans or Steelers next week because I fear that Gonzalez won’t clear concussion protocols by then.

That's why I was complaining LAST WEEK when we had a 4pm game(2 EC Teams), while Midwest teams had 12pm games.

Right but I’m guessing most Californians would prefer a 3:30pm local time start over a noon local time start, and easterners would prefer a game ending at around 6:30pm local time over a game ending at around 10:00pm local time.

Why would the west coast people who are used to all of their games being at 10 am or 1 pm prefer a game at 3:30?

Herbert has the loser gene, he doesn't look like he wants it enough.

You see a guy like Purdy with less talent go out there and sling it and be willing to throw a pick or two, Herbert looked like he was terrified to air the ball out he never gave his team a chance to win, he didn't throw the ball down the field.

… why wouldn’t they? It’s a better slot? It’s closer to their usual slot for a “prime time” game? It’s at the end of the day and not during lunch? There’s many reasons.

Most west coast games during the season happen in the 4:30 eastern time slot, so I don’t know why they wouldn’t try to fit this in similarly. There’s not as many 1:00 pm games with west coast teams. Obviously there were some but they weren’t as common.

No chance? C’mon. Maybe if the Pats were playing Josh Allen or Matthew Stafford. But I think the Pats can figure out a way to get by against CJ Stroud or Aaron Rodgers.
