Not betting on the game, but we need to look at the offenses that the Pats have beat up on to get to #4. I appreciate the optimism but they have played against maybe 2-3 good QBs this year. So to say the Pats D is better and its not arguable is quite a bold statement.

There is always context behind stats and you are only telling part of the story if you ignore context.
You sound scared. I'm not

Not at all.
Why didn't you bring up offenses?
Patriots # 2 offense in nfl.
Chargers # 20.
Ahem.
Patriots are the superior team w/o question.
But like I said previously, playoff games are tough. Drake is only 24.
But if both teams play their best Pats win

No need to bring up offense because I was addressing your claim that the Pats Def is better than the Chargers and that its not arguable.

It's not. But whatever. I'm not Andy. Not gonna beat a dead horse

You said Chargers have a tough defense.Ok.
Chargers defense # 9 in nfl.
Patriots defense # 4 in nfl.
And Patriots played w/o multiple defensive starters most of season, including their best defender this year, Milton Williams. One of the very best dt's in the nfl. He's back.
Patriots defense > Chargers defense.
Maye> Herbert.
Both of those are not arguable.
All playoff games are tough.
I like the Patriots chances. You wanna bet me on the game?
I won't bet on this game. You can pick others this weekend. I think it will be a close game. Might be decided by a 62 yard FG since the balls have been ****ed with this season.
Chargers have the #1 scoring defense in the AFC. Not the #9 defense. Not sure where that ranking is from.
Maye hasn't seen a defense like this all season. It will be a challenging game for this young Pats team.

It's not. But whatever. I'm not Andy. Not gonna beat a dead horse
I hope you're right. I predicted 28-24 Chargers and I hope that I am wrong about the score and who wins

Chargers scoring defense #9 in nfl
Patriots scoring defense #4 in nfl.
Those are facts

In AFC, this is the order of scoring defenses:
1. Houston
2. Denver
3. New England
4. KC
5. LA

You've just lost any credibility you might have had

Chargers scoring defense #9 in nfl
Patriots scoring defense #4 in nfl.

Still not sure where you get this from
Quick google search puts Chargers at #5 TOTAL defense and Pats at #8.
How did Maye do against the Browns? That might be a better comparison. Browns were ranked #4. Of course the Browns QB sucked. Herbert is better.
It will be a close game decided by 3 points or less.

We're talking scoring defense- points per game- which is what matters.

Why? because I can make a prediction on the way I think the game goes even if its my team losing. Weird

OK, the OL has the flu. They should be OK by Sunday night.
Hope so. Remains to be seen how long it lasts, and how long it takes them to be at full strength after they recover.

Plus who catches it next.

If the Pats can’t get pressure against this OL then it will shine a bright spotlight on where they should focus adding talent this offseason.
I’m sure the GDT will be full of posters puking all over themselves at the first Chargers completion, or the first play without a sack of Herbert.

Someone I was listening to mentioned that we very rarely get pressure with just our front four. But if we start blitzing, it makes it harder on our defensive backs, especially those covering TEs and RBs. So, I'm not feeling overwhelmingly optimistic about our chances to exploit a beat up line.

Whomever was saying that hasn't been paying attention to the personnel on the field. Especially from weeks 12-17.

I'd love for that person to show us how many times the Pats blitzed against the Bills in the 2nd game. I think you'll find it wasn't as much as they'd want you to believe.

The Pats have an issue covering TEs. Period. They just don't have the personnel for it. None of the LBers can do it. Not Spillane. Not Tavai. Not Elliss. Not Mapu. Not Gibbens. It becomes more glaring when the Pats play zone.

The Giants and Bills have very good O-lines. And the Pats still got pressure on the QB as I showed. And they did it without having Milt Williams in both those games. I'd also point out that Landry had sacks against both those teams.

I would think putting things in perspective would assuage the issues you might be having. Especially when you look at the pressure that the team has generated despite Williams not dressing.

Yeah and it may be him and Brown playing C and LG if Bradbury is out with flu-like symptoms. Who would be at C and who would be at LG? Prob Wilson at LG...I don't believe he has played at C yet.
Since when does the flu last more than a couple of days?

I'd be more worried if it was Saturday and they were listed and not having practiced.

Everyone has the flu rn. Not a really bad one. I've had three this year and the one making rounds rn is weak. Extremely contagious, though.
I haven't had the flu since before Covid. Also stopped getting the "Flu Shot"...
