How will that help them get back into the groove of things??
The groove of things is certainly a challenge to get back into.

Willy & Milly…at least another week for Spilly. We’ll definitely win today because for the Phins, it’ll be too chilly. Anybody thinking Maye won’t be MVP, they’re just downright silly..

Who will we beat in the Super Bowl?

Phillie?

Good news. Now they need Spillane and Tonga back for the playoffs.
Spillane I think would play if this were a playoff game.

I'm worried about Tonga though.

You rhymed willy nilly and came up with a dilly!

Do we know any details about what happened to Tonga? Is it a lisfranc injury?

We don't, and that's concerning for the exact reason you just listed.

The coaches can decide who plays. However, I expect that lots of the players will be giving it all they can. After all, they are fighting for their jobs or for 2026 contracts from other teams.

My fear is that some players will go so all out that they risk more than normal injury to themselves and others. This is especially true of backups.
What?

And DT depth seems a little thin. Interesting that they released Pharms to make room for Campbell and Williams to come back, especially with Farmer on IR. I assume they plan to sign Pharms to the PS again. It does make it look like they’re happy with Gregory and Durden.

It's really good to get them back healthy in time for the playoffs.

I expect they will be eased in with limited snaps today but their play is certainly going to be a factor for us going into the playoffs.

They're 5 deep on the D-line. That's what they've rolled with all year. Pharms will be added back to the PS. and could be a game day elevation if they feel the need. Which I doubt since they've spread Farmer's snaps between Durden and Gregory.

Durden looks like a good find, to me. I seem to hear his name fairly often, for doing good things.

Both played, I thought Campbell looked pretty good - a couple of times he had a bit of rust on him, but running the to left went back on the menu last night.

Williams got rotated a lot (Patriots ended doing a lot of weird, weird line combinations in that game, including where Barmore was lined up at RDE for a good chunk of a quarter), but man, what a damn difference with him in there - he said his ankle was sore after the game, not surprising he hasn't played in 6 weeks.

They got through it with these guys missing at 5-1. In my mind, these two alone elevate them back into the contender status they looked like most of the year.

Are landry, Tonga and Spillane back for the wildcard game.

Tonga and Spillane are crucial. We can reta landry if he needs more time to get him in better shape for divisional and beyond.

Tonga is our Vita Vea.

I think Spillane would have played Sunday if it were a playoff game.
Landry will play - although I do want to talk about some of those defensive line sets we were seeing against Miami. They didn't have Barmore playing end just for a play or two, it was an entire quarter. Maybe I'll start a thread.

Tonga I'm really concerned about. He's been dealing with this foot issue on and off all year. With Williams back it's not the end of the world, but I love having him there in the rotation.

Tonga has been great. Another mcdaniels special having him on offense.

Signed for 1 year. Definitely seems like a priority FA. With our draft pick being so high I wonder if we go the eagles route and just stack the defensive line.

Seems likely that the first pick would be on D as the last few high picks were all on offense. Maybe a safety or dt so we get BPA at those positions of need

I think DL is a position of strength, not a position of need. Barmore, Williams, Tonga, Durden, Gregory, Farmer, Pharms, even Jennings has played some DT. Re-signing Tonga seems a no-brainer to me.

Biggest needs on D and overall seem to be Edge and LB. DB roster could be stronger, and much deeper, but isn’t a serious weakness just thin imo. I’m hoping we double dip, go after one or two good FAs plus draft rookies at those positions of need on D.

OL depth would be my priority on the other side of the ball, and that’s not terribly bad as shown by results with two starters out the past couple of weeks. OL depth isn’t as thin as defensive secondary depth but does need some attention.
