This reads much different than Diggs statement. Though I do wonder if the leagues awareness of this matter stemming way back means anything

Edit : wrong thread

It could mean anything. But, again, you still think that the message came from Diggs when the Report said it was from CardiB.
I referenced multiple times that we don't know who it came from. The chef is the one who thinks it came from Cardi B. We don't know if it did. I'm sure if it goes to trial the police will investigate it and find out if it came through a phone with a number instead of, let's say, What's APP.

What do you think "you don't have to do this..." means? It's referencing her going to the police.

He should have ended the discussion there.

Period.

Hopefully, he did.

.
People get pissed off about stuff it happens. Especially entitled people in their 20s and 30s.
It would be great if NFL players walked away and never let anything bother them, but that’s not human nature.

I respect that right. Maybe you have a difficult time reading my posts ? I said we have to let the legal part of it play out.
But that’s not all you said.

Kraft dumped AB over some texts.

Sending some uncomplimentary texts and facing some fake charges is not grounds for interrupting a player's season.

Unless he plays for the Patriots, and Fraudell is the commissioner.
AB had guaranteed money due and Bob freaked out he'd have to pay him with the risk AB was hiding information that would get him suspended. Bob was already dealing with his spa incident, so he didn't need another player accused of inappropriate behavior towards women. He really released AB because of how the media was framing the situation.
Was Greg Hardy still active and playing after his (deserved) charges?
It took place during the offseason where he was initially found guilty of the charges. Hardy appealed, but the charges were later dropped because they couldn't "located the victim". He played one game in 2014 before Roger suspended him for the season. Unlike the AB nonsense, Hardy actually "threatened" the victim.

Whatsapp and other similar encrypted apps make that much more difficult.
lol. Most providers have existing procedures for service of process. Cops execute paperwork, they get the requested logs. The point of encryption is protecting payload not metadata. In this case they don’t need payload, content is displayed on the screenshot.

They still need figure out who sent. I believe whatsapp and telegram assign a different send from number that is different than the providers phone number.

Hung up on what? You're here hung up too!! LOL

Also you missed the point I was making. I'm talking about the improbability that the texter imaginedg she's telling the police about a business dispute. Not her actually calling the police about a business dispute.
Have you considered that the tester may be thinking (rightly or wrongly) that the chef is making **** up or exaggerating in order to escalate a business dispute that’s not a big deal into a police matter? Is that really improbable?

well... I can't get to the point where that makes sense to me, but I appreciate your answer. I do feel like all of this would be tough to prove. My entire reaction to all of this occurred because of that text. If a prosecutor feels he can somehow get the texter on the witness stand, then this is a very dangerous case for Diggs and the Patriots.
why the patriots ?

I’d put money you voted for Kamala and Tampon Tim didn’t you.
Worked, donated, and voted for Trump as a matter of fact. Not all conservatives are like you knucklerdragging assholes.

Yes, we talked about that above.

I said that doesn't make any sense to me.

I think that's highly improbable based on the wording of the text.

If it had said "you don't have to do this" and left it at that, it could mean anything.

If it had only said, "it's not a big deal," it could mean anything.

The two together tells me something happened (that one might report to the police) but that it needn't be reported to the police because it's not a big deal.

Adda boy!

why the patriots ?
If Diggs is convicted (that's the hypothetical you're responding too) and the Patriots have announced that they "support him"? That would tarnish the brand.

No, they don’t have to figure it out. WhatsApp tells them.

They are legally compelled to do so when they are served a subpoena. If they don’t their business gets shut down, so they play ball. They usually don’t even require the actual subpoena, just that the request is a legitimate law enforcement case that would merit a subpoena if necessary. They have established procedures and dedicated staff, just as law enforcement has their specialists for this stuff.

FYI all of my 15 years as a Fed cybersecurity specialist was in agencies having a law enforcement component. I worked with the guys who did this. We can go as far down the rabbit hole as you’d like. It’s really NBD. It’s a little tougher if you want to talk ephemeral encrypted content. For that you have to go to the IC (intelligence community). I worked with them too, but I can’t violate the terms of my clearance by talking about that stuff. I’ll just say it’s safest to assume everything you’ve ever typed online is an open book to at least some people.

nah. they can brush it off as just supporting one of their players and teammates. but if this goes any further i think they'd be distancing themselves by cutting ties and money etc.
