The fact the Pats are standing behind him, I would think he isn't guilty or it is a situation that was overblown that will be handled. The question is what will the league do? With they put him on the Commissioner's exemption list for the playoffs?

If he is guilty, he should be suspended. Felony assault is bigger than winning football games. If this is an overblown situation, it would really screw over the Pats unnecessarily.

Given how long it took for them to suspend Rasheed Rice for something he absolutely did I'm guessing there is zero chance he will miss the playoffs.

After immediately jumping all over Julian Edelman when he was accused of sexual assault and wanting him to be cut from the team, I am going to take a wait and see approach on this. I just hope if he is innocent, the league doesn't put him on the exemption list.

It seems that many here don't remember the Edelman incident.

Remember the punter who was accused of rape but later exonerated but cut immediately? He had hooked up w a girl consensually and then later that night, she was SA'd and he was accused until video tape proved he was nowhere in the area. It ruined his career for a few years until give a second chance.

It was a lot more complicated than that. While he wasn't there when she was raped, there was a lot of cover-up and threats in the aftermath. She had been roofied and wouldn't have known if he was still there. But the girl (a high school girl) was then subsequently threatened in communications with him. So even though he was exonerated it wasn't a good look for anyone employing him

Female chef. Just read the police report, says Diggs attacked her after said wanted to be paid for the whole season and not terminated early. Says Diggs slapped her and chocked her that she felt she could have passed out. She reported it on 12/16. Incident happens 12/2. Says she does not have any evidence, it happened in her bed room.
Says Diggs wanted her out before his birthday party on 12/4 but she wanted paid before leaving his house. So this is a she said he said.

They are not alleging it was sexual in nature.

The description sounds like it may have been over Diggs kicking her out of the house during Thanksgiving week because he had house guests. It sounds like she had no other place to stay so she went to a friend's house.

Dec. 2 (after Thanksgiving) she was back in the bedroom.

Something happened there, even Diggs acknowledged that in a text to her.

A lot of you are downplaying this report. I think the NFL may suspend him and the Patriots would most likely try to get ahead of that. They don't want this alleged strangulation constantly mentioned during the playoffs when a lot more people are tuning into the games.

This is much worse than I thought it was 10 minutes ago.

The sort of stuff detailed is the kind of thing that gets him either cut or suspended by the NFL.

AND he seems to acknowledge that something happened and that this was NOT all made up.

Telling her in writing that she didn't need to go to the police and there is still time to reverse because nothing really happened?

That's a practical acknowledgement that something did happen.

Cardi B actually then contacted this woman on Diggs' behalf?

It doesn't sound like sexual assault and that is not alleged, but the details about wanting her out of his house for a couple weeks, and then finding her in her bedroom in his house, these are the kinds of allegations which would make a jury surmise that something happened in that bedroom.
