Is our defense good enough for a SB run?

Not sure why they should trade a 3rd round pick for a guy when the Pats have slightly better production already in Chaisson on the cheap. He has 6.5 sacks, 8 tackles for loss and 15 QB hits to Phillips 4 sacks, 6 tackles for loss and 14 QB hits. Also, he's had nagging injuries since his 3rd season.

Look for Vrabel to "burn some cash" again this off-season.

Personally I would have like a move at edge for K. Thibiduaux.. as he would be as sensible move and be here for at least 2,3 season and fulfills a huge need.

As you mentioned Vrabel absolutely will spend this offseason and I can imagine thier will plenty of guys that want to come here.. as Vrabel said he can offer them compensation and opportunity...

If Sadiq is by some miracle there in the first round, I think they take him.

Those are the holes, if they fill them with talent, they'll be in pretty good shape going forward. Slot Corner would be a nice get down the board too, someone to train behind Marcus Jones. Also they might double up on Edge, a middle-class guy in FA (unless there's some offer they can't refuse or something for a top guy). They'll also need another RB at some point to replace Stevenson. I think we're good next year at WR even if Diggs takes a step back, because I think Williams will have a bigger role going forward.

Agreed.. we also need depth at LB.. guys in the mold of an AL- Shakir..

Upgrades at DL next to Williams.. I'm fine with our depth guys now.. we need a gap penetrating DT..

Bentley and Tavai were good downhill LBs in that scheme..


All we need is 2,3 impact players on defense to go alongside what the guys we have now and it can take this current defense to another level.

The lacking of a consistent pass rush is why our all pro hasn't had chances to pick off the ball.. as you mentioned having a prime judon made it possible to pick off passes in those other defenses.
