All phases of the game are responsible for the loss but at the end of the day the offense had two chances to close this game and failed miserably.

I think it a little too easy to let the offense of the hook for that. I know that people don’t want to put anything on the offense because if you do that means that by extension you don’t think Drake Maye had a good game and we don’t want to critic Drake Maye here so it is easier to put everything on everyone else
Not letting them off the hook as you are correct they play a part.. however just eluding to they put up 31 points enough to win.... Drake deserves his critique..but he's not the reason they lost.. he put his team up by 3 scores.. his defense and STs failed in the second half..

However how do we beat this Ravens team now??

Well i didn’t expect a Vrabel team to come up that small in the 2nd half either.
Neither did I but I don’t think the team is so mentally weak that they will fall apart because of it.

Agree..For some odd reason I kept saying to myself we may see Buffalo again...

I believe we got our loss out the way now.. Denver is on a similar run with 11 wins in a row..
The Buffalo fans that were with us yesterday said they will be back to tailgate with us in January.

That is awesome! Hope you enjoyed yourself at the game loss and all.. I'm starting to really think we will see them again.. wouldn't that be something to avenge that 2021 playoff 47-17 loss??...

The officiating sucked, especially the (highly) questionable PI call on the Pats' INT that became a first down in the Red Zone and ultimately a TD for the Bills (the difference in the final score). But that's just yada yada yada.

The Pats still gave up five TDS in a row (they couldn't get a stop after the PI call) Remember how we Pats' fans love to say, "Yeah the tuck rule was a lucky break, but the Pats still had to get into FG range and #4 had to make the greatest kick under pressure in NFL history to tie the game and send it into OT?" Same thing yesterday, the PI call overturning an INT was a lucky break for the Bills, but Josh still had to punch it in for the TD).

"Whatever" on the above.

Drake Maye had the ball in his hands with a chance to win the game, with two minutes on the clock and all three timeouts but failed even to mount a strong drive.
The Bills outclassed the Pats yesterday. The Pats are a young team and have to learn from it. But no whining excuses, please.

Just a couple thoughts I have after watching the game and taking a good night's sleep to think about it. This team is young, inexperienced, and explosive. Like any qualities there is good and bad to that. When it's working (say the entire first half) they can get up big on you in a hurry. The down side is when you run into a more consistent veteran team like the Bills they don't panic, they continue to grind, and in the end are able to make a few more plays. We saw Brady do this to other teams for years, most notably the Falcons in the Superbowl.

The Patriots are way ahead of schedule and it's honestly great that they are able to hit home runs with Henderson. You NEED those kinds of plays if you want to be an Elite offense that scores 30+ most games. The problem is it gives your defense no time to rest and a more consistent offense is able to continue to grind away at them. It's kind of pointless to score 31 if you give up 35 because your defense is on the field too much. It's the trap the Bengals have been falling into for years.

I'm not down on them for this year, they still have a great opportunity in front of them to make the playoffs and make some noise. It just shows they have to play their game, which they had done for 10 in a row. This is not a team that can just line up and win on talent on a snap to snap basis. At some point the big plays aren't going to quite fall for you the way they have been and the big question is how do you respond to that moving forward? For this year I think they need to keep rolling the dice because they have been hitting 70% on deep throws and they don't have the talent to win dinking and dunking. I just recognize the flip side is there are going to be large patches of time that means they are potentially going 3 and out when it doesn't connect.

Off season priority if I was building the team is getting the horses you need to compliment the young explosive players. Better oline play so it's not 60 yard TD or stuffed in the backfield. Another target or 2 so I'm not more comfortable on 3rd and 10 then I am 3rd and 3. They desperately need to upgrade the pass rush and TE coverage. Lucky thing is none of those are super hard to find and are reasonable upgrades for one season.

I love Drake Maye as much as anybody, think he's going to be the best QB in football going forward but this game showed he's not there yet. I'm going to agree with others that his lack of comebacks and quality play in the 4th quarter is a concern. Still plenty of time to show it's just lack of opportunities and a place he can continue to grow, but a concern none the less. Brady showed very early on he was the comeback king. When the chips were down he played his best. Psycho Tom was a real thing that you can't coach, teach, or grow into. Flip side of that is regular Tom wasn't anywhere near as good as Maye has been game in and game out. Just a thought I had, put Brady in the last 2 mins of the game and there is a 90% chance we are talking about the win yesterday. That's the confidence you have from the GOAT and the reason he is the GOAT. Is Maye there? Heck no, but hopefully he can grow closer to that level going forward.

Right now for this team to win, they need to continue hitting big plays and hope the D can make a play or two of their own. It worked a lot of games so far, I'm not going to complain about one of the few times it didn't this week. We're onto Baltimore

I gotta admit I didn't read a single word in this post I just saw GreenCow come back after going into hiding from the first meeting and laughed out loud. Of COURSE this little worm comes out from hiding when they win. Make sure you're here when we win the third meeting cupcake

I don’t think there will be a third meeting because I don’t think the Patriots will make it past the first playoff game to be honest. That’s nothing against the Pats - they’re getting better - they’re just not there yet.

We just don't have the depth on D for these big losses.
I think if most NFL teams lose thier starting LB who calls the plays, and thier starting DL, they will see a difference.

If Houston lost Hunter or Anderson
If Denver lost bonnitto or Cooper

Same equivalent..

We'll see.. this loss was also against a team with the reigning MVP and have won the division for 5 straight seasons..and a division opponent..

Buffalo will likely see Houston in the postseason they have the elixir to deal with Allen..

I guess will see
I do think the coaching staff has a unique or strange scenario this week for preparing for the Ravens, as you stated beat the Jets and Dolphins we win the division, if we know that the players know that.

Crunch time.
If the Pats win out, they win the division. Period.
If the Pats lose to Baltimore, but beat the Jets and the Dolphins, and the Bills win out, the Bills win the Division based on conference wins and common opponents. [CORRECTION: I'M WRONG THERE. If we have the same record as the Bills and beat the Fins and Jetes, we win the Division on record v. Division teams. Thanks for those who corrected me.]
Forget about yesterday. The Pats control their destiny.

Agree.. 10..straight wins, the growth of a 2nd year QB, the resetting of the direction of the entire organization.. total buy in from the players.. this team is every bit of tough mentally..

Best road team in the league.. all this wasn't by mistake..

No. If they lose to the Ravens and beat the Fins and Jetes and Buffalo wins out, Buffalo wins on tiebreakers.

Depending how the Baltimore look you can enter those two last game in a not so great dynamic. I don’t really want to have to play a week 18 game against a Miami team that needs to win to make the playoffs. I hope they lose tonight.

This Baltimore game is really important.

Bro who is that player underneath suffering from asphyxiation? Lol
Chaisson. He did a rip move to get low and then was pushed down to the turf. And to show there was no holding the tackle "look ref! I'm flying!"

Still a funny picture.

Nope. If we beat the Jets and Dolphins we win the division regardless of what the Bills are doing
