It’s their one fatal flaw, not so worried about the offense in the RZ, defense ugh.
I've said it all season.. they play soft coverage in the red zone.. Gonzo's comments post game interview.. he mentioned man coverage and how he loves man coverage.. I think he's making a statement.. just saying..

Diggs for me has been a big disappointment this season and almost half his yards have come in 3 games (most of it being against Buffalo's 1st meeting). Unless he wakes up the next 4 games and has a good playoff run, Pats are going cut bait in the off-season and apply that money elsewhere.
He's been as advertised IMO. I'd wager that there's a chunk of WRs that make their bones in 4-5 games and the rest are schemed against them. The truly elite WRs are consistent, that's rare.

Ja'Marr Chase has 5 games with double digit receptions. Diggs is 16th in receptions. Diggs isn't elite, he's good enough. A true elite WR will cost a fukton more than what they are paying him, assuming one hits the market.

If you guys get to the Super Bowl the Rams are going to do their best Dallas Cowboys impression and absolutely skull f.uck you.
But at least Green Cow can say the Bills were still the better team even though they lost.

I think he remains at least another season.. it's still a game plan offense.. he's been a tremendous leader and JMO coming off an ACL has been solid.. there's no elite wr on the team.. that will come march 2026! .. ( currently wearing an eagles jersey) LOL..

The worrisome part of yesterday was nothing really changed from the last several games. Score early. Then, don't do much scoring in the second half. The difference is the defense was not there to make plays and help save them.

The not scoring in the second half thing falls on the OC/HC more than the QB imo. I thought using his legs less would benefit the team. Now, it's hurting the team by not using them.

Here is the reason for the loss.

Pizza Man jinxed the PATS.

Is it me?.. why does it seem that Barmore hasn't been a factor? I love the player.. but i expected more.. help me to understand?

I did not read the game day thread, I imagine it was on fire going from the flying high in the sky to crash and burning. At least that's what the game looked like to me. This game I couldn't find a lot to get excited about other than Henderson, its a shame that his performance is attached to an L. The defense simply crumbled in the second half. I do think Williams and Spillane playing would have helped, how much I am not certain. Special teams had its issues as well, kick off unit was horrible. The offense came out on fire and then was simply snuffed out in the second half, we see which team made the better adjustments. Drake looked human during this game and still hasn't learned when to get out of the pocket. Disclaimer.....I still luv the kid and he is the future, they wouldn't be where they are without him. In the end the Pats simply snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory.

Moving forward we will get a dose of the same thing this Sunday. A mobile qb, a good running back and a good tight end. Will the Pats try to fix what went wrong, better question is can they fix it? The Ravens watched thats game and will certainly have a similar game plan as the 2nd half Bills.

A final thought.....This year Pats are over achievers, they are ahead of schedule. This is great for them looking towards next year because a culture is in place, a good group of coaches are in place, a talented qb is on the team and they will be coming off a winning season. If you build it they will come or so I have heard. We will add talent that we desperately need next year. They cannot scheme or coach there way through some glaring issues right now. They simply don't have the players on the roster today that they need to address their weaknesses. It's all good in my eyes, I dont have any expectations for the remainder of the season. I will simply enjoy watching our team play, with probably some yelling at the tv along the way. No matter how the rest of the season plays out, this year is a big fat W in my mind.
It’s a good post.

My point of view is that even if we are ahead of schedule. You were still 11-2. I am frustrated because I thought we had a great opportunity. Nothing is over we still have our destiny in our hands by beating the Jets and Miami. But we burned our joker.

My expectations changed because even if I didn’t expect Drake Maye to be this good this year and the team to win that many games, with the Chiefs out, Baltimore not so great, I think there is space to do something special.

Even if we upgrade the roster, we have no guarantee that we will be back in the same spot next year. I think a lot of people expect the team to just load up in the offseason and to be right back on top of the division.

They took advantage during the 10 game streak of thier opportunities and took the coaching and the play of Drake made this all possible..

The Broncos are on a similar road.. 11 game streak.. the Patriots will add in premium areas of need edge Rusher, OL, ect. However destiny is still in front of them.

You don't offer "takes," sport, only fear-based trash talk belying your (well-founded) lack of faith in a team that never has and probably never will get over the hump in our lifetimes. You can't just enjoy your Prairie Cows rising to the occasion in a must-win scenario or celebrate with fellow fans on your home board. Instead, you come here attempting to disavow/discredit the reality that threatens to end Josh Allen's five-year flirtation with ultimate success. A big win today yet you remain scared ****less -- just admit it.

I've always respected Prairie Cows fans for their "never say die" attitude through countless gut-wrenching disappointments. But your pathetic nonsense in the face of what should be a hope-saving VICTORY is changing that, you sniveling puke.
GreenCow isn’t a real Bills fan, today at the game I tailgated with real Bills fans who drove down from Buffalo, a couple of them were behind us inside the game. Those are true fans, the kind I remember from my times going to Buffalo to watch the Pats games. Green Cow is just a stooge, I’m sure next week if the Bills beat the Browns he’ll be on a Browns website, if they lose he’ll watch one of the four AFC Championship games from the 90’s.

This.

I don't think Baltimore, KC, and even Buffalo will struggle as much next season. There is always a dreg of the league who comes out of nowhere to compete. And the Patriots schedule is brutal.

It's easy now to say "it's just the beginning. They will be a SB caliber team going forward". But it's not necessarily reality.

Baltimore defense only giving up 15.9 PPG last 9 games. Next week is looking like a very tough game and geniuses in here were thinking the Pats were winning out going into today
Says the genius in every game day thread if the Pats go three and out in the first quarter says oh games over, oh missing the playoffs, oh Maye sucks, they have no chance, then when they win, great win I knew they could do it. The last thing you should be doing is questioning the loyalty of people on this website.

I get your point. I dont think the team needs to load up they just need a couple key pieces to be a much better team down the road. I also get that the road next year may be tougher to be in the same position they are currently in. How the Ravens game turns out will be very telling, its almost like playing buffalo again.

Drake Maye failed in the clutch today. The reigning MVP came through in the clutch today. Maybe Maye has a good game next week and they win. We'll see. If Maye leads a come from behind win next week on the road in Baltimore it'll be the first of his career. And all the Maye can't bring a team back from behind talk will stop. As we stand here after 14 games, Drake Maye has one win vs a team with a winning record.
And if the Pats beat the Ravens by three touchdowns you’ll be I told you all he’s not clutch.

I understand. I was disappointed too.. then I thought about last season 4-13 and quickly realized how fortunate we are to have Vrabel and Drake leading this team.

It's absolutely on the defensive side.. and STs.. you cannot give an MVP constant short fields.. 24 points is enough to win in the NFL especially when you're up 24-7

JMO offense could do more most definitely but they did enough STs and defense folded in the second half..

In theory they should have NEVER even been in the situation to begin with..
All phases of the game are responsible for the loss but at the end of the day the offense had two chances to close this game and failed miserably.

I think it a little too easy to let the offense of the hook for that. I know that people don’t want to put anything on the offense because if you do that means that by extension you don’t think Drake Maye had a good game and we don’t want to critic Drake Maye here so it is easier to put everything on everyone else

I agree it’s just that I think we missed a golden opportunity to win this division. The game was there for the taking and the entire team came up small when we needed to close it out. That concerns me a little bit.

Like I said we will see how this team bounce back against Baltimore. I just fear that this loss will unravel on the team
You must not think highly of Vrabel if you think this loss could unravel the team. If Mayo was still the coach I would think you could be on to something.

Milly, Willy & Spilly are much needed. Core players..

The thing that perplexes me is how our Entire Offense Folded in the Clutch. It's like Bye-Week did them no good. We have Won games like yesterday before this Team needs to find it's Clutch Genes.

Well i didn’t expect a Vrabel team to come up that small in the 2nd half either.

The idiots whining about " clutch" apparently haven't been paying attention all season as Maye has converted in 3rd and 4th and long to keep drives going and give them leads their defense was able to hold. He's a great young QB and Buffalo is the only team who would trade their quarterback for him right now, and even they would be wrong not too.

If I get the chance I'll be taking the names of those ****ting on him, and believe me when I say that I won't forget them, and I'll be sure to remind them for the next 15 years or so. Sam's mea culpa lasted until the winning streak ended, now he has invalidated it. What a bunch of know nothing assholes.
You won’t have to take names, every GDT when he has an incompletion they will announce themselves.
