Yet another case of a younger guy tearing his Achilles btw. This used to not happen until your mid-30s.
It’s crazy. Kids sports is insane right now. Used to be football, basketball and baseball. Now, most of the sports are year round while also incorporating track and heavy cross fit. Not to mention these guys are so much bigger and faster which put’s a lot more weight on their joints.

Damn the bad luck, Jones had resurrected his NFL career and Indy was riding high with the Colts and Hoosiers.

A broken leg and then an achilles rupture on the other leg. His body was demanding a break from football. Sad.

And that likely means one less team to keep the Chefs out of the playoffs. . . . *sigh*

Unfortunate injury for both Daniel Jones and fans like all of us who have an interest in the Dolts staying mediocre. Think about it, he stays healthy the Dolts lock him up on a cap killer of a contract, then we could've crossed them off as a team we needed to be concerned about as AFC rivals for years. Now the Dolts may stumble onto a truly dangerous QB. That's a win/win down the drain

I wish he’d worked out. Firstly, his stock was falling in recent weeks. Secondly, this might actually be a blessing for Indy - for those who care about that team - as it’ll force them to find someone that could actually lead them to a championship.

I’m hoping they never win the big game again for the rest of my life.

I didn't think the Colts would wind up making the playoffs given their schedule - but damn, no one wants this for any athlete.

That being said, there's so much focus and effort put on rehab there's every reason to think he can be as good as before if the psychological aspect of the injury doesn't get to them.

That's another thing that set Brady apart from others - he played with abandon and after his injury he STILL played with abandon.

But we fully expect that Tatum will be back 100% by next season if not the playoffs this season so no reason to think he won't be ready by next Fall
