Huh? To clinch playoff spot at 11-2 there would have to be 9 other teams that already have 7 losses.
No one clinched at 11-2. It’s virtually impossible. All 3 teams in your division would have to have losing records.
I know, I know, I know, I know.. all the scenarios, situations ect. Was just my opinion that's all.. my opinion that is all..

Many would have drafted Carter over Campbell if he fallen to 4. Make up matters people.
Guilty here.

To be fair all we have access to is some film and the analysis of media scouts. Which in this day and age is amazingly in-depth, but obviously doesn't tell the whole story.

We don't have access to the interviews or get to know prospects the same way teams do.

I'm not so much of a homer that I'll defend helmet to helmet hits, even if it's a Patriot doing it, because unlike the NFL I actually care about the wellbeing of the players.

But unless I'm missing something this isn't a dirty hit. Dart was still inbounds and the hit was to his upper arm/shoulder.

Now the one earlier in the game on Hawkins, that was absolutely a helmet to helmet hit and was correctly penalized.

For me, the better question is the hit on Gunner fair or dirty?

I get ugh'd because your opinion is they should have clinched now?
No, I said it's asine/crazy to even think that our team or any NFL team with 11 wins going by the NFLs metrics and qualifying teams hasn't clinched an actual berth yet.. that is all I was saying.. I totally get that it's not reality accordingly to the NFL. Just was how I felt

*The 2008 Patriots have entered the chat*

Math is math, kid.

I've been dealin with some health issues so I missed the entire first quarter and didn't get to see much of the game last night, any chance someone could find a clip of it? I saw a pic of his helmet missing paint so I'm assuming it was pretty bad.

Agreed Steve.. 2008.. ugh don't remind me.. hosed.. and we had to watch the 7-9 Seahawks make in that season..
They get to 12 and they'll clinch a berth.

I loved the attitude. They came ready for the fistfight and put it to the Giants. Watching the Giants bench in the 4th quarter was a thing of beauty, it was the picture of a defeated team, they just wanted to shower and go home.

Then why the heck did their coach call all 3 time outs to get the ball back with under 5 minutes and down 2 scores (and soon to be 3 scores)?

I will go as far as say this team is DAMNED good. If they beat the Bills, they win the AFC East (hats and tshirts). I think it’ll be a good game, a tough game, would love to see them win it.

The combination of Vrabel’s coaching and Maye’s incredible 2nd year jump has taken this team to heights none of us saw coming. Props to the whole coaching staff ! But Vrabel had brought in an identity that the team has bought into. Beautiful to see.

I thought the turning point was the first team meeting, the one they showed in Forged in Foxborough, where Vrabel told them that " once you go between those white lines I can't help you. In fact I won't even be there, Once the game starts my job is done." They just jelled after that.
