Great all around win. This team has so much to be proud of this season. Guys can now rest up and get ready for the home stretch.. it's also a joke that with 11 wins most in the NFL.. & due the NFLs clinching Strategy they still haven't been awarded/clinched a playoff berth..... with 11 wins! Unreal..
Not really a joke: there is more than 25% of the season left. Had to mathematically clinch with that much time left in the season- most teams have only played 12 games.

Division winners make the playoffs in most, if not all, sports. The Pats missed the playoffs with 11 wins (in a 16 game season) with only 6 playoff teams in 2008.

If there are three Wild card teams that all have 11 wins and they all have the tie breaker over the Pats, and the Pats can’t win one of their last 4 games, then the team doesn’t deserve to make the playoffs.

On the plus side, they will make the playoffs.

Thanks for that information. Much appreciated. However it's still asinine that a team leading the league in wins still by nfl metrics hasn't clinched yet no matter what the reasons are.
I'm just saying they only have themselves to blame. (or destiny is in their own hands).
Beat the Faders in week 1 who proved to be the Jete-West this year
and/or
only turn the ball over 4 times instead 5 versus the Squeelers

and they would be clinched.

Exceed Sexpectations. That's always the plan.

Douglas since the Saints’ game:

23 targets
20 receptions
372 yards
2 TDs
147.7 passer rating when targeted

He’s developed into a good role player. After whiffing on WRs for a decade they somehow hit on two of them in the 6th round.

Developed being the operative word. Unfortunately there is a significant number of fans, and not just of this team, who give rookies a month or so to start producing, and then start shrieking about what busts they are and how they need to get rid of them if they aren't producing. What they apparently don't understand is that most these players have spent their lives being the best player on the field, and operating in vanilla offensive and defensive schemes, and are suddenly put in a situation where everyone is as good or better an athlete and football player as they are, and the schemes are really complicated and loaded with adjustments they have to make on the fly. And unlike almost every other team sport there is no minor league they can drop down to get acclimated to higher levels of play, they either make it or they don't.

This Patriots team is loaded with guys who have had the chance to develop and grow into good productive players, Douglas, Boutte, Spillane, Ellis, Marcus Jones etc etc.... demonstrate that if you give the right guys the chance to grow and develop they can become good contributors to the team. Fortunately Vrabel believes in developing players, and he has convinced the players that he is behind them and that they will help them turn themselves into good player's, and that's why guys like Swinson turn down offers from other teams to go on their active roster, and stay on the Patriots practice squad instead. The added benefit to this is that a team has much more freedom to address real needs in free agency, as developing your own players leaves much more cap room to play with.

Anyone else think Williams TD was super close to being out? His knee looked out and couldn’t tell if he got the second foot down before the knee went out.
Yes, it was angsted about in the GDT.

I guess it would be asking too much to see him on offense again. 2 or 3 wheel routes.
I'm sure they will. Playoff game or Bills game.

Help me here please. In both the Cinncy game and the NY game Drake Maye came up short of the 300 yard passing games. Both also had Hunter Henry td's called back?

Not going to get into it tonight. But the first thing on my mind is the online has really turned around. It isn't perfect but they have some depth. When last year they didn't even have 5 guys. Lowe looked good for s back up.

I feel good about Brown as a depth piece moving forward. Lowe? Idk. Guess Bryant isn't ready for prime time yet as another vet took his game day spot.

I think we will be talking about how this online did a lot over the next 2 weeks
The Pats won, the backup OL players were decent, and no serious injuries heading into the bye.

And they played hard with attitude.

What’s not to like?

And I didn’t even mention Drake Maye.

Yeah yeah yeah, but Kyle Williams is a bust and no better than Jaylynn Polk!

Yes, it was angsted about in the GDT.

I thought so too, but on the last 2 replays it looked like his right toe had actually dragged a little before the knee touched.

At some point, we need to just accept this team is ****ing good.
I do wonder what it will take for some of you people.

Even after they beat Buffalo (again), I guarantee there will be a 'We have no chance against the Ravens' contingent.
You are damn right. Lamar will be healthy by then...
