Only for the rest of the season / playoffs if Diggs thinks he can be productive again. I think I’d rather have Thielen the rest of the way instead of Chism on the 53 but no way for 2026.

Thielen has already said this is his last season. He wants to play for a team in the playoffs.

Does he have enough left in the tank to be an upgrade over any of our WRs?

Who would he take targets away from?
Diggs?
Boutte?
Pop?
Hollins?
Williams?

I’m not sure how his skills would complement our roster. That’s why I’m asking for some discussion about it.

I remember the days he was the darling of the NFL. That torch has been passed to Puca Nucua.

He would take like no snaps…same as Chism. I could see him taking Hollins snaps if he goes down. Insurance. I’d rather have experience for the playoffs.

He asked for his release, have to think he has a specific destination in mind. I doubt it'd be here can't envision there's much mutual interest between Thielen and the Pats.

Oh and OFC...

would be one thing if he had worked extensively within the EP offensive system, and could hit the ground running... he hasn't... Let Buffalo sign him

A 35yo receiver.......
..

I see he is the oldest receiver in the NFL with Keenan Allen and the ghost of DeAndre Hopkins being the next two at age 33. He may be a fit somewhere but clearly not in NE.

Back to Carolina would be my guess.

One thing can always count on veterans at wr for is thier uncanny abilities to get open especially in the red area.. I'm sure he'd have other suitors that are making a post season run that can likely give him the playing time he wants... he won't see it here.

So, you think we’ll see him in a couple of weeks?
