Jerry Jones: This team is really special. They're unified. I've never been in a more Christian locker room.

As a northerner, I don't understand this kind of comment. Is the word used down south to mean "unified"? I only know it as a description of religion.

But if there's anyone in that locker room who is not Christian (and I'm 100% sure there is) then it's an odd comment.

Personally, if I were on the team and someone said, "This is the most Muslim locker room I've ever been in," I'd think they were either talking about the huge number of Muslims on the team, or I'd stop to consider that maybe the speaker meant "the most devout (or faithful)" locker room I've ever been in.

Either way, I would've considered it an odd comment. This may just be semantics though.

Interpreting Jeruh speak could be a full time occupation akin to being a weatherman.

They should go in there and roll.

The Ravens had won 5 in a row prior to stubbing their toe last night. The Pats have some key injuries that require adjusting to and still have the Giants game to survive without adding to the injury list. Under the circumstances expecting them to 'roll' would seem a stretch. That said I believe this Pats team can face any AFC opponent with a reasonable expectation of coming away with a W

The Ravens and Steelers play each other twice still. If they split those games, then each lose the rest of their other 4 games, they each finish 7-10. Both of them have generally average to difficult remaining schedules. Meanwhile, Cincinnati has a fairly easy remaining schedule, and would just need to go 3-2 the rest of the way with one more win against Baltimore in that set, finish 7-10, and end up winning the division due to best intra-divisional win record.
And one of these 7-10 would host a 11-6 team in the 1st round, while another 11-6 team would be possibly sitting at home (San Diego, KC or Buffalo).

1. Patriots
2. Broncos
3. Colts
4. Steelers/Cincy/Ravens
5. Texans
6. Chargers/Bills/Chiefs
7. Chargers/Bills/Chiefs

8. Chargers/Bills/Chiefs

You don’t believe in the Jaguars?

As of right now:

1. 10-2 NE
2. 9-2 Denver
3. 8-3 Indy
4. Pitiful AFCN "winner"
5.
6.
7.

LAC, Buffalo, KC, Houston and Jax fighting for 3 spots.

I was thinking along the same lines and was looking up the Jags remaining schedule while you were posting that. They've got a fairly easy path to 11-6 starting with TN this week

I didn't get to see much yesterday, but I'd say all games were "upsets", and sorta changed the playoff discussion.

I didn't expect DET to lose - but it seems they're starting to fall apart, and out of the NFC powerhouse club
I didn't think DAL could give me that T-day blessing of sending the Chiefs into near-irrelevance for the home stretch
I didn't expect CIN to burst to life so much, especially on D, and dominate the Ravens - putting them in peril too.
Based on how Cinci has performed in the last two games, and have Burris and Chase going forward, I am glad they are in our rear view mirror.

It isn’t always who you play, it’s when you play them.

Was 0-3 in our Pats Fan pick contest after yesterday... did not see any of those outcomes.

I dunno. Balto did itself in with a bunch of turnovers tonight, not something you can count on. And they will be desperate unless they completely implode between now and then. I expect it will be challenging regardless.
And we'll be missing the entire left side of our OL.

KC isn't mathematically eliminated yet.

After years of favorable officiating that well has run dry too. Mahomes gets knocked down just like every other QB these days. He was whining to the Refs and got Fat Andy complaining too. Pickens should have been called for taking his helmet off negating the Boys 1st down to seal the game. Some of the PI calls on KC were head scratchers too.

KC was getting away with plenty of holding on the OL.
I noticed the helmet thing. Watching replays, it appeared as though maybe his helmet had gotten knocked askew somehow and that's why they let it slide. He certainly didn't seem to be doing it in a celebratory or taunting way.

Rams, yes. I've been picking them since ~week 6 - as the most complete & experienced team. Clear SB favorite.
But, sadly, Pats would get destroyed this time around. I really don't think we'll make it past the divisional round.
For these simple reasons:
1. Not enough in the Run game - OL blocking + RB talent (Hendo isn't ready to be Dillon or Michel in the playoffs)
2. Not enough dominance in the Pass rush on D (we've constantly given bad QB's time, and made them look good)
Well we were supposed to get destroyed the first time

Pickens was fined for removing his helmet in Pittsburgh.

It was borderline askew IMO.

Wow! No left side of our OL? Just a gaping empty space?

lol, jk to make the point that even our backups are professional athletes playing in the NFL.

We can expect some drop off in quality of play but we don’t know how much. Let’s not write them off just yet.

Dallas fans I know who rarely have anything good to say about their team, no matter how they are playing … are excited as heck. They like this team a lot

Give them credit, they've looked much much better.

The Bengal's defense has shown some fight the last two weeks.
Not sure, yesterday they were bailed out by some of the worse officiating I have seen. The Ravens were robbed. We also got to the one yard line several times and came up with peanuts. If we had scored TDs on those ocassions, it will have been a different game.
