We had him at his absolute prime with Brady at QB. That was 2017.

The Bills have been basically doing the equivalent of scanning the Madden free agent pool, hoping for anyone over a 70 rating.
Seems like Cooks has played 20 years in this league already.

Welcome to Buffalo. You can have him.
And one more

Posting videos of a guy getting concussed as a form of derision is WAY uncool. As a Patriots fan I felt bad when that happened, both for him and the team.

Cooks is not a bad player; concussion history could be a factor in his bouncing around the league so much. Below is how I always have remembered his short Patriots tenure -- a play I saw firsthand and game-winner vs. Houston. Let's just hope he doesn't come back to haunt us with the Prairie Cows.

Brandon Lloyd had a similar weirdness to his career.

I think Bills fans are going to be greatly disappointed in what they are getting. They are amassing a bunch of mediocre WRs for Allen.

So why did he run that weird route in the SB that got him knocked out of the game?

Yeah he was one lost little Cookie there... Coincedentally or not, after that possession, didn't the Pats score TDs on every drive they had until the last one or something?

I remember watching that game at the Bears' Den in Hershey PA... Didn't think he caught that in-bounds when I first saw it live...

One of Lloyd's problems was that he had didn't have much YAC ability at all, always it seemed looking for a soft landing...

Ya know who falls down a lot now? Pop.

It was as clutch a toe-tap score as you're ever apt to see.

Not really "weird," he likely was on a sight-adjustment route vs. Philly, which ran a very loose zone that game. He was focused on coming down with the ball and then (in a split second) gauging where he was in relation to defenders. One of them just happened to have the right angle to clock him from the blindside.

Things happen so fast out there with twists and turns, it's no wonder receivers can lose their bearings/balance for a moment. We've seen that happen recently with Pop.

And that probably should've been a PF penalty.

Blindside tackles are legal if done properly (i.e. not helmet-to-helmet). Cooks was on his feet and starting to run with the ball so, fair game.

Sign Moore to the PS…and elevate for the Bills or Jets.

The Bills are going around signing guys off their couches, and feel comfortable releasing this guy from the practice squad.

Yep...I know. But really what's the harm signing him to the PS. Maybe he grows a spine and takes it out on the Bills and Jets. Can't be any worse then Thornton...or can it.

he didnt look Cooked last week..

His boneheaded leap in the SB cost the Patriots points and an extra receiver. He goes from team to team. Something isn't right.

Buffalo could use him.
Guy has 1000 yards in a season for 4 different teams, has to be a reason he is on his 7th team.

Brady was bragging on Cooks during the broadcast.

I always believed that Cooks was let go because Brady wasnt enamored with him.

I think he made this catch way way too difficult than it needed to be and could have gotten injured by the way.
Every team and teammates sing his praises so why does he keep getting traded or let go?

Lots of reasons. Expensive. Cap issues. Productive. Valuable asset. Scheme fit. Never for cultural/off field issues.

Look at Hollins. Hes on his 6th team but for different reasons. He's always been a reserve and teams believe they can upgrade. Middling production. Middling talent. Cost effective as a WR3/4/5 but a pros pro who has value in the right system. He's kinda like the Crash Davis of the NFL lol
