Again...you're making my point. They aren't there because nothing was done at the deadline.
OK, I apologize. I misunderstood.

You would have had the team trade for TWO veteran quality OL's and had them be backups to replace Lowe and Wallace, perhaps three if Bryant isn't up to your standards for a backup.

I think its a stretch to say Vrabel is "happy" with them. It more like he did his best to upgrade the position in one offseason. I am sure he wants better depth than the worst LT in all of the league last year. Backup LT will continue to be a position to upgrade going into the future too. PS activity means little to nothing anyway.
Yes, I am fine with upgrading Lowe next year.

However, having the #32 STARTING OT as one of your backups is NOT terrible.

OK, if the PS makes little difference, let's see how well we do this week without elevating any OL's.

Thayer Munford Jr. is a mountain ay 6'6" 354. He played in 18 games under McDaniels in Vegas. This signing makes sense. He will be familiar with the offense as he was in it 2 years. I feel like Josh has probably had this guy in his back pocket as a reserve for a while. But in Vegas, Munford flashed potential, but then just faded and started allowing a sack and seven pressures a game which caused the Raiders to move on. But his run blocking was good.
So he is our new Tonga?

We have a new/old OT familiar with Josh’s system.

I'm worried about CB depth with Austin on IR. What about Ameer Speed, or Battle the other tall CB we had on the roster last year. Aren't they on some PS?

I wondered if that’s Bill Murray. After all Murray was playing on the DL when he first joined us.

WOODS and PETTUS are our backup DB's. Both get reps as needed. AUSTIN hasn't played Defense since Game 4.

If we need another, I expect that we will activate Battle. Minor is also on the PS; perhaps we can add another to allow better options if we need to elevate CB's or STers.

Dude, the PS is the bottom of the barrel. Its not full of starters and superstars. Its full or undeveloped players or reclamation projects. Parts move from it constantly. Why are you making a big deal of it? Who the heck said we shouldn't evaluate any OL's? We have to because we just got hit with the injury bug. Munford was signed to the 53, not the PS. Bill Murray went to the PS and we better pray to God he is not the answer to our injury bug.

Good to know, lets hope he fits in ok.

Really hope Doug Marrone can work some miracles with Munford Jr. He has played both Left and Right Tackle so that's a plus. IF Vrabel and company are not Sold on Vederian Lowe as our lone Left Tackle depth guy I don't blame em.

He has 17 starts . That's solid for a backup. He is 6'6 and has 35 inch arms .

If we can develop him, he gonna be a steal .

As for lowe , I think he is a above average backup and will do better than expectations. Last year the line as a whole and coaching were suspect.

And if I remember his stats were not great but not like pukeworthy . We could have been much worse off and I am glad we have Lowe as the backup with his experience.

Let's hope he has improved. His measurable are insane.

so rather than being a Tonga; ... he is a Lowe (oh well)

During his NFL career so far, he [that is, Thayer M.] has played 688 snaps at right tackle and an additional 155 as an in-line tight end. That latter role might be his quickest way onto the field in New England given that Vederian Lowe has sporadically served as a jumbo tight end throughout the year — a role he would be unavailable for if he was inserted as the starting left tackle.

We'll see if Doug Marrone is a poor man's Dante Scar...they're signs.

Who do you have that is better and knows the system at this point in the season? Both have played in it a know how to read the playbook.
Luckily they don’t have to play…
