Patriots Injury News Will Campbell Week 12 Injury [11/26 update: Placed on IR]

Ah, the full Hobgoblin blast. Wondered when I would be the lucky recipient of it.

I can call myself a doctor because I am one. Class if 1995, from a place on Longwood Ave in Boston.

I am NOT an orthopedic surgeon, much less a Sports medicine specialist, but I've worked with many over 30 years, and have taken care of many patients with those injuries. Have discussed this issue many times.

You can do many physical maneuvers to clinically assess a patient, but you really cannot diagnose the grade and severity of the injury without an MRI. Much less so for those watching it on TV, who do not have physical access to the player.

I find it odd that you feel compelled to violently personally attack anyone whose opinion you disagree with. You can disagree without attacking/insulting someone.

The part about Campbell's arms was an obvious joke.

Have never been on the Jets forum in my life. I'm exposed to enough toxins in my profession.

Oh wow, others said your post was sarcasm. Come to find out it wasn't. Hahahahahahahaha. I am not orthopedic surgeon either, but I know how to do a stupid ACL and MCL test on the sideline with my kids. Of course you can't determine the extent of the injury without an MRI. Duh, but you can determine the injury. That is exactly what the trainers did on the field yesterday. "The ACL is in tact." That is why Will was not ruled out right away. They tested the MCL in the locker room and knew what they had. They just don't know the extent until today. None of this is speculating from TwitFace doctors online. Its from the team and their reaction.

Awww you poor little cupcake. You got called out for being a fraud. Will you recover? Go back to the Jets.

Bryant has been a binky of mine since the draft. In college he held down LT on the other end of the line from Membou, so he was no slouch. I’m expecting him to replace Moses as the starting RT whenever Moses retires or the infirmities of aging in the NFL erode his availability. Was slightly surprised Lowe beat him out for LT backup in tc.
He needs to pour some sand in his lower half because he was getting pushed back a lot. He took some blows. I'm imagining his talent is movement, because it's certainly not strength at the point of attack. He was looking a little Cole-Strange-y.

On not, thats not true. You fully earned that one.
That is the kind of post that I cannot tell is anger or schtick and I love you for it!

And that is NOT sarcasm. But it might be the cold meds that I’m on.

His arms aren’t long enough. So performance be damned, because of that there are those who are dead set on moving him inside to guard.
I’m one of them. Not because he’s BAD at LT, but because I believe he could be all-time elite at G. It’s not a slight on him…it’s a compliment. Few humans on earth could be a pretty decent LT AND an elite guard.

See…Onwenu, Michael as one who can’t

Or even Joe Thuney as one who could…though Thuney isn’t at Campbell’s level as a T.

Great news on both dudes likely being available for the playoffs.

Just need to scrape enough together with duct tape to get 3 more wins and that should win the Division and maybe even get the top seed.

Never been happier to have been given wrong information!
Take your leave....LEAVE EARTH.

Glad to hear this, I was prepared to give my ACL and whatever else was needed.
I have two artificial knees and one cadaver ACL so I don’t have much to offer except great confidence in the expertise of knee doctors. They’ve come a long way since I was a kid and a knee injury was a lifelong impairment. So I’m confident Campbell will be capable of full performance when he returns.

This was like 2000army who never posted, but felt like posting drive by stating Tom Brady was going to re-sign. That person has not posted since.

The Pats' defense should be able to handle the Giants' offense, then a bye week, and the current Pats OL can probably still manage against Buffalo's defense in 3 weeks. The big test will be @ Baltimore in 4 weeks, with Milton Williams still out and presumably Campbell too. They will have to get creative to squeeze out a win there, I think. After that, it's just the Jets and Dolphins.

NE's division lead should be pretty secure either way. Even if they lose the next 3 games vs NYG, BUF and BAL, and even if Buffalo sweeps the rest of their remaining schedule, as long as NE beats the Jets and Dolphins in the last two weeks, they would still have the tiebreaker win for the AFC East due to a better in-division record.

Hope you feel better, man. Just got over that myself a few weeks ago...felt like it dragged on for ages.

99% of the time its schtick. I am not an angry person. If you could see me type my posts, you would see me laughing most of the time. I just think it funny to call out the dinks and boobs.

No, the tiebreakers only come into play if the Patriots lose exactly two more games than the Bills the rest of the way. If they lose 3 more games than the Bills, the Bills finish with the better record and win the division.

I am glad there is hope. But i kind of hate 'could still return'. Better than out for the year. I wish there was more of a timeline. Does could still return mean for game 1 of he playoffs with the bye or for the super bowl if we make it?

I will assume it more for game 1 of the playoffs, because typically injuries like this are either season ending or a max of 6-8 weeks. rarely are they in between those numbers.
