Bill's had so much success here, there's not much to add. So many good memories that outweigh any bad memories. Best of luck in the future and hope he beats Shula's record.
When he said, "I don't see one." He was referring to the fact that he didn't see a thread for it when he posted it. He's the one who originally started the thread on this that already had a lot of responses, so I merged it.What's changed why don't you appreciate him anymore?
For someone who is 41-68 (0.376) in his last 109 games as head coach with a certain QB as his starter, those increments are glacial.

Stamina was a big difference in that game. Along with Shanahan's play calling.Bill did more good than bad for the Patriots. He held two explosive Rams offenses to a combined twenty points in two different SB's. He once held a Manning led offense to three points. His non-timeout vs Seattle. 16-0 during a regular season. Everyone points to the 28-3 comeback and Tom Brady. For good reason. However, the defense gave up a total of 21 points to that explosive Atlanta offense. Including 7 in the second half. Strip sack included too.

The defense stepping up had a huge role in the 28-3 comeback no question about it.Bill did more good than bad for the Patriots. If he calls timeout, they have a chance to rethink that idiotic playcall. The defense stepping up had a huge role in the 28-3 comeback no question about it.
But I think Bill getting credit for the non timeout vs Seattle is overstated tbh.
That's what I'm saying. It's one of those things where all he did was roll the dice and it worked out so he's called a genius - but would be called a lot of other things if it didn't.If he calls timeout, they have a chance to rethink that idiotic playcall.
Of course, if they score and the offense has virtually no time left, Belichick gets criticized to this day.
Coulda shoulda woulda. Give it a rest. Yegads. That's what I'm saying. It's one of those things where all he did was roll the dice and it worked out so he's called a genius - but would be called a lot of other things if it didn't.
And if Butler didn't intercept the ball if he just knocked down the pass they get another shot from the 1 with time running down.
?Coulda shoulda woulda. Give it a rest. Yegads.
Just seems like you go out of your way to minimize
That's not minimizing his performance. It's a fact that he wouldn't exactly be called a genius if the Seahawks ended up scoring and the Patriots had almost no time left for a comeback. He rolled the dice and thankfully it worked but I'm not going to say it was a 4D chess kind of thing....Just seems like you go out of your way to minimize
BB's performance.
