I think this was the worst game for Josh as a play caller.

MYbe he is not used to dealin with turnstile offensive line.

We can't wait for 3 seconds for routes to develop . Too risky .

I feel twma was not in rhythm as they tried to get Boutte and rham involved and they were not at 100% and injuries were big factor . Gbe biggest issue I saw was loss of Tonga. If Tonga were there our run offense would have been better.

With teb way Bradbury is playing we need a powerful fullback who is at least 280-300 lbs. Release Jake Westover . He is useless. Get an blocking TE or lightweight offensive lineman who can double as full back.
I mean he did have that TD which was basically an OC special. Double play action first fake to the wr on end around then to RB on fake draw. Slight pressure but that didn't matter because the play action and the post route left the flag to Henry wide open for an easy tuddy. No one within 5 yards probably even more.

Hey can you please put the doom and gloom sky is falling posts on hold at least until we learn how bad the injuries are? Please?
Do you think Burns (or anyone) on the NY Football Giants defense is concerned w Lowe or Ben Brown?

Davis making me look good after calling him one of the best press man corners in the game. He's been solid all year, but not spectacular. Today, he was spectacular when we needed him most. Great to see a gritty win after starting off the game down 10 on the road.

Red zone execution has to be better on both sides of the ball. We don't run well in short yardage currently. Improvement welcome.

We're one of the top teams in the NFL this year, no doubt. But I hope we're not a paper tiger. We haven't been dominating good teams. Too many mental mistakes. We're young and still haven't hit our ceiling, however. We have time go get there. Elite? Ehh. We'll see. But we haven't really had a half like the Rams are right now. Tough for me to see us on the same level. I think we're a step behind, but still leading the remainder of the pack.

Do we have Oline guys on the practice squad we like enough to elevate?
We have three OL players on the PS according to the roster on the Patriots team site. Quotes are the career tab for their bios on the team site.

Would not surprise me to see another OT signed to the PS this week, if Campbell’s injury is a concern.

Sebastian Gutierrez Is listed as OT.
Gutierrez, 27, spent a brief time on the New England practice squad in 2022. The 6-foot-5, 308-pounder, originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the Denver Broncos out of Minot State on May 13, 2022. He has spent time with the Las Vegas Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts either in training camp or on the practice squad. He was elevated from the practice squad and played in one game for the Raiders in 2022 and one game for the 49ers in 2024. Gutierrez went to training camp this past summer with San Francisco and Cleveland.

Brenden Jaimes is listed as OL. According to Wikipedia he plays C; according to ESPN he plays G.
Jaimes, 26, originally entered the NFL as a fifth-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Nebraska. The 6-foot-5, 300-pounder, was signed by the Tennessee Titans as an unrestricted free agent on April 17, 2025 and was released on Aug. 26, 2025. Overall, he has played in 45 regular season games with three starts at center in 2023 and saw action in two postseason games.

Andrew Rupcich is listed as G.
Rupcich, 26, originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the Tennessee Titans on May 13, 2022 out of Culver-Stockton. The 6-foot-6, 325-pounder, has played in 12 games with two starts at right guard during his time with the Titans. Rupcich spent the entire 2022 season the practice squad and the first 12 games of the 2023 season the practice squad before signed to the 53-man roster and playing in five games with two starts. Last season, Rupcich played in seven games in a reserve role before finishing the year on injured reserve. He went to training camp with Tennessee this past summer and began the year on the practice squad before being released on Sept. 29, 2025.

The killer about these injuries is I really think this was their year to make noise. Next year's schedule is ridiculous.

I'm not sggesting that Chism should be in on every down and that the offense should be run through him for goodness sake. I'm saying maybe give him a chance. I don't know how many times I have to repeat that before it starts to sink in.
But to give him a chance you have to take someone out. The coaches need to get the best players on the field not try and see how the ones they don’t think are best might do.

It might be better to turn Maye into a dink and dunk QB if that’s the alternative to having him mauled because his OL can’t protect him with the entire left side of the line injured.
If the OL is incapable of blocking then sure you have to run 2 second routes, but that’s a last resort.
Also Maye is capable of avoiding the rush and extending plays, one of his best talents.

I don’t think pros spend much time thinking about such things. They’re too focused on things like how to win when they’re being chipped or double teamed. They’ll study all their potential opponents or they’re not preparing, but if they get all excited about how they’ll wipe Lowe’s butt and then Campbell starts they’ll be SOL. So they won’t let themselves get distracted by such things. They’ll leave that for the fans.

Brenden James of the Practice Squad has experience at both center and guard. He has been elevated once. I would expect him to be elevated next week allowing Campbell or Wilson to be inactive.

We might even have James elevated and Wallace active and allow both injured players to be inactive and have time to recover until at least after the bye.

Now we get to see how this team responds to adversity. If they can persevere and overcome it they will definitely make noise in the playoffs. We will just have to wait and see how the OL depth stands up to the test.

The 2-10 Giants? Thats what has your panties in a bunch?

Pats can only play whoever is on their schedule.

There’s no sense in getting panties in a wad over teams they won’t play is there?

Maybe but he hasn't had the chance. I understand why, but whenever Chism has been tested, he's done nothing but rise to the occasion. All I'm saying is that plays do take quite a long time to develop with our receivers and it would be nice to have that quick open option. I understand that means taking playing time away from, probably, Sir Trips-a-lot.
Sometimes there’s guys who make the NFL solely on their tools and never actually produced in college, but 99% of even the NFL players who don’t make teams or do but never player “rose to the occasion” in college. You don’t often even get invited to training camp unless you did.

I have full confidence that if they thought Chism would make them better on the field he’d be out there. Odds are that the undersized, less than typical NFL athleticism receiver they signed as an UDFA is just a back to the roster caliber player who isn’t good enough to get WR snaps without injuries to a lot of guys.

Next Man Up is a thing because every team has injuries and surviving them is how you win championships

When you panties are certain to be in a wad, 2-10 is the same as 11-1.

To be fair they have been scoring a bunch of points and today for whatever reason the Pats sucked at putting any scoring together against a terrible team.

They will lose to the Giants IF they play like they did today. I don't think they will.

No they won’t lose to the giants unless they play much worse than the did today.
