I don't recall the last time I saw a team that looks so unstoppable one week to looking like scrubs the next as the Lions. When Gibs and monty are on unstoppable. then all of the sudden total crap.

Thats because colleges, for some ungodly reason won't run pro offenses. I mean you have dudes now getting millions and running pop gun offenses. I use the Chiefs offense as exhibit A. They can run real pro offenses in college to make the transition easier, at least in the powerhouse programs.

What’s kind of funny is that colleges actually have more practice time to install a pro offense than the NFL does given the CBA offseason restrictions. Which, incidentally, may have been one of the catalysts for the change in the NFL (took time for the league to recognize it, surprisingly, after the 2011 CBA was signed).

I'm glad the Chiefs lost even though this puts the Broncos in a tie with us for 1st place.

The mediots have a lot of excuse making to do now for their binky Mahomes!

Perhaps teams that use/emphasize/rely on emotion and aggression to raise game levels find it hard to consistently perform week to week. I was really on the Lions train but last year was so pathetic lol

Sometimes its better to be lucky than good. 6 more games to go though.

As long as the Patriots keep taking care of their own business they have a great shot at the top seed for the AFC.

It is quite possible it’s actually who they are. Once they got their guys back from injuries & suspension, they went 5-1, so they could go 5-2 or 6-1 the rest of the way. But it could also be getting towards the end of their dynasty.

Never give up on great QBs and great coaches though. Remember 2018 ? EVERYONE was giving up on the Belichick/Brady led Pats. I remember pundits right before the Playoffs of 2018, saying The Pats were the worst of the playoff teams and Brady was the worst of the Playoff QBs. You never know.

That was BB and Brady. In no way shape or form are Mahomes and Reid the same.
