No ****ing way Goff wins tonight.

Some truly terrible teams have improved to simply bad. Dolphins and Jets, for example. Panthers may have reached mediocre.

This is why you don't complain about targets as a WR or complain about the defense while on offense.

If you lay an egg after complaining, you then promptly put said egg on your face. Brown complaining for targets and then being beaten by coverage fair and square looks bad.

Possible thread idea:

All these derivative college offenses in the NFL have gotten incredibly easy to defend as the book is now out on them.
Sounds about right. All the while the Pats offense is a legit offense that can morph into whatever you want it to. Also, doesn't seem to hard for these guys to comprehend.

It took about 5 years, but how many of these Air Raid offenses are really putting up points in the NFL now? Play 2-high safety, make the QB take checkdowns and run inside zone out of the shotgun.

Baker and Stafford are the only QBs in the NFC not afraid of Philly.
That dude they got for nothing from the Phins keeps making plays btw

Makes sense. Scoring has gone down since the 2018 explosion onto the scene, yet more teams are running these offenses now.

Yeah I have the article pinned as well as the playbook. Fascinating stuff.

Imo? Franchises and, to be frank, invested money, turned towards wanting immediate returns, and a great way to do that is by reducing the difference between college and the NFL. Unfortunately, this backfires when defensively, defenses didn't really regress and instead adapted.

It's one of the benefits to McDaniels. He's still running a professional offense that, once implemented, enjoys massive benefits such as players that are actual professionals, not just athletes. It demands growth and maturation from your QB. It gets better the longer it's stuck with.

Thats because colleges, for some ungodly reason won't run pro offenses. I mean you have dudes now getting millions and running pop gun offenses. I use the Chiefs offense as exhibit A. They can run real pro offenses in college to make the transition easier, at least in the powerhouse programs.
