KC has 7 games left. Colts @Cowboys Texans LAC Titans Broncos @Raiders.

If They go 5-2 they are 10-7... That probably still gets them in. If they go 4-3. That is 9-8 and they are likely out.

How do they go 4-3? It's kind of hard to see that happening to be honest. Most likely hope is they go 10-7 and somehow lose a tie breaker.
They have zero chance of winning their division. The 5 and 6 seeds are also probably long shots. They have a chance of squeaking into that 7 seed but it’ll probably end up coming down to tiebreakers.

Thing is, this is a front running team. Will they have the drive to push for that last win or two in late December/January that they need to just barely squeak in? Or will Chris Jones and his ilk pack it in, preferring to get an early start on vacation?

Never too early maybe it's too early to worry about getting the #1 or #2, i think the Patriots winning the Division and grabbing at worst the 3 seed makes them a live contender to make the Super Bowl if they drop the Division i think they're way more likely to be at Baltimore in the Wildcard round and one and done.

The path when you don't win the division is a gauntlet now, it's very rare a wildcard team makes the Super Bowl playing 3 playoff games on the road.
Pats can help keep Ravens out

Here’s a funny thought - Dolphins are only 1 game behind Chiefs. The Dolphins play the Pats in the final game of the season. It’d be real funny if NE rests their starters in the final week, giving the Dolphins the win and that pushes Miami into the playoffs over KC.

They could also jump the Chargers if they fall apart they still have Eagles, Chiefs, Texans and Broncos to play.

They looked like a complete mess today, they don't have any tackles.

1pm game, east coast, decent team, on grass.

That's as close to a scheduled loss as a Los Angeles team can get.

If a particular seed was locked up, I believe the Patriots would definitely do this.

I was fiddling about with some numbers if the Chiefs go 6-1 they're fine in nearly every scenario, if they go 5-2 they lose almost every tie breaker against anyone who can realistically finish in the 7 seed with 10 wins.

They are in real trouble if they drop 2 more, basically need the Chargers or Jaguars to finish with 9 wins if they lose 2 more games.

It’s not that crazy of a thought. Miami’s remaining schedule:

Saints
at Jets
at Steelers
Bengals
Buccaneers
at Patriots

It’s not totally crazy to see Miami go 4-1 before their clash with NE to be 8-8, then NE rests their guys and Miami goes to 9-8 and gets the 7 seed.

In doing so, Miami would have beaten the Steelers and Bengals, which would have pushed some of their competition down. Then the Ravens take the AFCN, and the Steelers and Bengals fall out of the seeding altogether because Miami gets the head-to-head matchup win, assuming a tie.

After watching all these games, I’m pretty confident Drake is the best QB in the league,
He's up there for sure.
That said, Allen has some bad plays today, but some really really ones too.
I'm not ready to cast him off like some others, he still can take over a game.

Still savoring the moment....

Only thing that would make me happier is if the Billdos lost as well.

Pretty irrelevant to my comment (didn't say about winning or not winning the division, of course that is very important) regarding it being too early to be concerned about seeding, but I do agree with your overall point so I guess there's that

Miami sucks. They really do.

Miami sucks. They really do.
But the other teams also suck. Is it so wild to think Miami beats the Saints, Jets, Steelers and Bengals?

Vrabel would do it because he knows it would make Stephen Ross force his next GM to keep Mike McDaniel and it would just **** up the entire new regime there for the next several years

Miami probably won't make it. But weirder things have happened.

I think the Bengals might light them up for 50, even if it's Jake Browning.
