lol. They exist therefore they took the steps you want to say they took.
So your argument is that the NFLPA thinks players are mistreated regarding facilities, free food, etc and have fought through collective bargaining for decades to improve it, but gave in every time, so instead decided they would create a survey their members could fill about how management treats them so they could publicly expose how bad all the free stuff they get is, and create sympathy among the general population who feel they are oppressed by low quality free stuff while being paid millions, and that will show them? Seriously?
The onus isn’t what you want the onus to be. But to clarify you are equating NFL players with “organized workers” who gained benefits by public pressure. You think that the public is as sympathetic toward quarterbacks as they are toward coal miners?
Look I understand you owe your paycheck to unions. Good for you.
But this tactic is ill conceived and ineffective for the NFLPA.
I corrected it. It was supposed to say “someone”
But you didn’t provide evidence, and material you gave your opinion.Lmao, not sure how else to tell ya other than you're projecting your own uninformed vision onto reality and hoping it fits. It doesn't. I took fair measure and provided evidence, material, and you're resorting to "well lol it's your job."
I'm done here.
Solidarity forever!Public pressure is one hundred percent a viable tool to force an employer's hand, not sure how else to put this. I am a union organizer. Now it's certainly something you don't resort to before exhausting other lanes, but it is a tool.
Solidarity forever!
There is no such thing as neutral on this issue.
Well Kraft after seeing where he landed on the first survey is spending a lot more money in and around the facility. I think what scared Kraft is not what the players thought but what the fans thought. I think fans should know if their owner isn’t doing all they can do to better the team.As you said you try everything else first. Why? Because it has negative consequences and is dubious in its effectiveness.
The NFLPA certainly hasn’t exhausted all of it other lanes.
I recognize they THINK owners will give in if the public thinks they are cheap, but I think they are wrong, and the real consequence of airing dirty laundry publicly is that it can cause fans to leave the sport.
Ask baseball how the fans responded to publicly exposing owners as “cheap”. It cause many lifelong fans to turn away because of the greed.
I don’t buy that. If Kraft cared about the fans opinions he would have handled a lot of things differently. Deflategate, hiring Mayo, fighting a media war to claim credit for the dynasty, etc etcWell Kraft after seeing where he landed on the first survey is spending a lot more money in and around the facility. I think what scared Kraft is not what the players thought but what the fans thought. I think fans should know if their owner isn’t doing all they can do to better the team.
Of course there is.There is no such thing as neutral on this issue.
You either believe the owners have the justification to squelch the NFLPA or they don't.
Because I am. I hang no horse in the race. I am looking at this from a neutral viewpoint and forming an opinion.I'm sorry but maybe you didn't notice, the previous poster declared, declared mind you, he was in fact 'neutral.'
They're afraid of the costs. The size of the food bill for a football team has to be high.sunshine is the best disinfectant
what are the owners afraid of?
The costs? Negligible in the scope of things...They're afraid of the costs. The size of the food bill for a football team has to be high.
If I'm an owner I'm also afraid of the negative attention that could keep FAs away.
