We have a lot of posters that like to remind us of things they predicted correctly, I am certainly not immune.

In the name of accountability, what is your biggest miss 10 weeks in?

Mine is easy.
I did not want to rehire McD.
I thought his accomplishments were all due to BB and TB, as he never really accomplished much on his own.

I was 10000000000% wrong.
He has been a revelation and has the offense humming.

Big swing and miss by me on that one.

I thought 8-9 wins for the season. I do consider myself as a Pats homo homer.
I did think the Jete & Phins would really suck
Thought Kermit's team would be leading their division. Can yet happen, but still...

i was very skeptical of Pop

i questioned his ability to make his reads and run the right routes.......never doubted his athletic ability and YAC potential

i am not 100% convinced he is ever going to be a cerebral receiver, but he is finally starting to come through on his potential

not sure if it is pop maturing or McD just being smart enough to get him closer to where he needs to be, but i am pleasantly surprised in Pops production

Same!

Also Vrabel. I thought he was just a nostalgia hire more than anything. He's actually a really good coach and it shows. Best coach we've had in years.

I’m glad we’re both wrong! I’m in good company!

Diggs...as I mentioned in a thread I started about 3rd or 4th game into the season about being wrong on him. I thought he would be a cancer to the team and so far I couldn't be more wrong. I hope his contributions on the field, in the locker room on the side line ( not on the boat ) to the team continue this year and maybe he hangs around to wrap his career up with us.

So many, how to choose ...

I preferred Josh Simmons to Will Campbell.

I preferred Ben Johnson to Mike Vrabel.

I hated the Josh McD re-hire.

Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa!

Not sure you were wrong about anything there.

Diggs, definitely. I thought this was a "bright, shiny, let's splash money on the last big toy in the toyshop" signing. Boy, was I wrong.

Also, I thought that Vrabel would be a step up ... but that he would be as great as he has been? No. Coach of the year already, and it's not close.

I intitally didn't care for Vrabel. I quickly changed my opinion after I watched him address the media and later the team "accountability and entitlement".

I didn't want McDaniels returning in fear he was going to push the "Brady" offense on Maye.

I thought Milton Williams was overpaid and had concerns with him playing full time. I still think he's overpaid, but he's played well.

I didn't care for Mac Hollins. He's made some clutch grabs so far.

I thought Pop would have a better year.

I didn't care for Tonga, but he's becoming one of the most talked about Pats defenders.

I wasn't thrilled with Campbell at #4, but the Pats needed a LT badly. He's had some growing pains, but Maye isn't taking as many deep shots downfield without him.

Easily predicted the Pats would get at least 9 wins. I got a little worried after week 3.

Predicted they had the best roster in the division and took **** from posters on that. That was too easy.

There are 2 Patriots I have been very down on

Hollins, while my concerns are real that he doesn’t produce as much as the snaps he plays warrants, the offense hasn’t been held back by his invisibility for long stretches, and he has had a couple of very nice games.

Elliss, keeps making the mistakes I am down on him for, but his athleticism is better than I realized and he makes some plays now and then. Still prefer Gibbens to be playing there but I have seen some positives in Elliss

Well I was heavily on record that we needed one more year at the bottom, replenish through the draft and free agency market to compete.

I don't know if this team is good enough still to win it all or if the league truly is that bad but I also didn't think we had the WR to hang with other teams.

So far I've been wrong on both.

I honestly expected them to be a run heavy team through at least the first half of the season while they brought Maye up to speed in a McDaniels offense

Watching Maye in camp and preseason, I was a little concerned. It didn’t seem to be quite clicking. I wondered if maybe he and McDaniels’ offense weren’t going to be a good match….
